In a sign of hard times for Mattresses, many people have started stashing their savings in Bushes.  Apparently many feel that if their house burns down, at least they will have a nest egg to start over. Why not put it into banks?  These people are survivors of the great Depression and do not trust them.  Whereas in the past, they merely stashed their cash under a mattress, they have found that is not a safe place.  Willie S. Dunne related how his long time and best friend,...

In the movie "My Fellow Americans", Vice President Ted Matthews arranged a coup against the president, who had to resign over a scandal.  His devious tricks were recorded by 2 former presidents (who remind one greatly of Bush 41 and Clinton), and he then was summarily tried and convicted.  Of a crime to be sure, but mostly of stupidity ("It is all a FayKade."). While not having committed any impeachable or prosecutable offenses, Gov. Tim Kaine of Virginia is rapidly becoming the Ted...

Troubled by a lack of detonation, and effectiveness, the Bush adminstration announced today that it was going to stop the program of making land Mines environmentally safe.  Instead, borrowing a quote from General George S. Patton, Bush Undersecretary Vi O. Lashun declared that hence forth "Dying for your country does not win wars.  Making the other poor dumb bastards die for their country is what wins wars!". No longer will mines be made out of biodegradable wood ships, but will re...

Now you know why I admire, if I dont agree with, Mark Warner!  And to think Newt saw the same thing!  Yes, Mark Warner will get credit for electing a Ted Matthews!  So his star is rising in the Democrat party (and compared to Mark Warner, Tim Kaine is no Mark Warner!). Ironic, and I think perhaps a few liberals, while spitting and gargling with listerine, will agree with Newt Gingrich! 4 more years!  Oy vey!

Yep!  Bush has dragged out that old Cone of Silence and is using it on NASA.  For those not familiar with the Cone of Silence, it does not let any noise out, and very little within it anyway!  It is used by our Super Secret Intelligence Agency, Control (yes!  You did not know that Bush Re-organized Control!). Now they are using it to silence NASA scientists.  Why?  Because a recent study of noise pollution have found that the average TOP NASA scientist (versus th...

It seems our dis learned friends over at the NY Times has decided that Democracy must be junked since it did not work!  Yes, in addition to the link below, there was another Editorial (note for the dense, I did say editorial) on the same subject: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/30/international/middleeast/30diplo.html Both are basically saying that because America did not get its way in the Palestine elections, that the whole idea of democracy should be junked!  I can hea...

Last night, the citizens of 49 states were treated (?) to what Virginians have to look forward to for the next 4 years.  A bumbling, mumbling idiot that even Bush's harshest critics will acknowledge makes Bush look Statesman in comparison.  No less than 9 times did Tim (Tom) Kaine tell us there is a better way.  Yet he has been in office only a couple of weeks.  So what is his better way? Well, for one thing, he has demonstrated that no tax increase is enough for Demo...

Canada just had an interesting election.  Conservatives won, but do not have any ideological partners to truly partner with to form a majority government.  So they are going to have to tack left to come up with one. The closest (for you Canadians, I am taking the read on this from our Local JU Canadians) to them are their arch rivals, the Liberals.  It will remain to be seen if they can govern that way. In the US we have a nice staid 2 party system.  The "them" vs the "Us"...

The senate just voted to confirm Alito.  But by fewer votes than they would have needed to sustain a filibuster.  So the CW (among some sources) is instead of having a problem with a handful of 'renegade' senators, the angry left is now going to take the entire leadership to task.  It will be funny to see some of these fringe groups start tarring and feathering the likes of Hillary Clinton and Diane Feinstein as bush Cronies. The vote is in, the die is cast.  Now let us ge...

This was recently said of Bush:  See who it reminds you of: "My first message is to the butcher of Washington, Bush: You are not just defeated and lying about it, but you are, with God's help, a loser. You are bad luck to your people. You brought them disasters and catastrophes, and you will bring them even more disasters." You know, except for the reference to God, it sounds pretty much like the K twins in DC.
