The Volcker report is leaking out, and the reality is not pretty!  Of the 4500 companies that did business with Iraq during the Oil for Food debacle, 2200 were engaged in illegal activities.  They come from 66 different countries! This is an organization that wants to run the world?  Jimminy Cricket!  What a load of horse poop!  But in reading the article, the truth comes out: But Saddam, who could choose the buyers of Iraqi oil and the sellers of humanitarian go...

Yep, the Head of the Local IT Agency in the state has decided to go with Northrup over IBM.  The decision was just announced late Tuesday Evening, and of course the local PR Rage had it in the Wednesday Morning edition. But! (The Big But) Instead of just being about 2,400 IT workers, the scope has crept to almost 6,400 IT and othert people (Some would call the others - Programmers - Eeeekk!).  This was actually not really news as originally they were talking about outsourcing the IT...

There has been a lot of controversy about Iraq trying to obtain Yellow Cake Uranium during Saddam's last year in power.  Altho there is no evidence that he was, there were documents that purported to show he was.  And now the truth comes out.  It appears that the French forged the Documents! Why?  To embarrass the English and French and prevent them from going to war against Saddam! OK, pupils, can anyone tell me what happened?  You, there in the third row.  y...

I came across this article where 7 of the original Tuskegee Airmen are going to Iraq to have some pep talks with the members of their legacy squadron.  It is a very moving story of hundreds of black men who over came a race stratified society over 60 years ago to become heros for all Americans.  Indeed their record speaks for itself. And these 7 men, the 'baby' being 80, are going in harms way once again, totally contemptuous of the dangers they face.  Not unaware, just daring ...

Yep!  It has finally happened!  The Japanese have developed a remote control for humans!  Placed over the head, the device allows the person to be controlled from a Joy Stick! Called galvanic vestibular stimulation, and it relies on an idiosyncrasy of humans and electrical currents around the ears.  I am sure Neurologists could explain it scientifically, but I will trust the authors word in this case (he was the Guinea pig).  While NTT sees the application being Video...

In an message of peace, to all the right thinking people of the world, the President of Iran called for the eradication of Israel.  This is not some tin pot crackpot, this is the leader of a {sovereign} nation calling for a Pyrrhic annihilation of another country, for no other reason than they do not believe as he does.  He goes further to call for a war against any country that recognizes Israel, which means I guess they are going to target their Muslim brothers in Countries Like Turk...

A long, long time ago... I can still remember How that JoeUser used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those bloggers dance And, maybe, they’d be happy for a while. But October made me shiver With every twitter JU delivered. Bad news on the doorstep; JU couldn’t take one more step. I can’t remember if I cried When I read about Mason's ride, But something touched me deep inside The day the Joeuser died. So bye-bye, Free IceCream Ride. Drove my G...

Apparently France is up to its old tricks.  Being unable to tweak "Les Americans" noses this time, they are doing it to their fellow Europeans by sabotaging the WTO talks, not on behalf of La France, but on behalf of the whole EU! In a startling revelation to this writer, apparently the European Union is an animal farm of states.  Where Germany and France are more equal than the other members.  Such that: they have a big say in the running of the EU but its the two of them...

A seemingly innocent news article today reveals the passing of an institution.  The US Military is sending the only remaining MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) to Pakistan to help with the Earthqake.  The 212 MASH.  The LAST ONE.  It seems that the army has come up with a new animal called a CASH (uh, oh!).  They say that the Combat Army Surgical Hospitals are more responsive than the MASH.  From the results in Iraq, I guess they are right. But for those of us...

Al Franken, who cant get a radio audience, and whose last decent joke fell flat 20 years ago is saying that Scooter Libby and Karl Rove are going to get the death penalty.  Even tho neither has been charged with a crime, or even convicted.  But that is not important to the loony left, now is it? "And so basically, what it looks like is going to happen is that Libby and Karl Rove are going to be executed” because “outing a CIA agent is treason,” But isn't he so cute?  H...

In the continuing saga of Howlin Howie and megalomania, Howard dean has decide he is the great and powerful OZ and that when he opens his mouth, new laws are created. In the story of the non-story of the Plame non-crime, Howie has decided that if the Prosecutor does not Indict, then the case cannot end. George Stephanopoulos: "If [Fitzgerald] finishes his investigation without bringing indictments and without issuing a final report, will you accept that as the end of the matter?" "...

Yale has decided not to renew David Graeber's contract.  The man is a recognized expert in his field, but he does hold some very extreme left wing views (being a member of the Industrial Workers of the World is a dead give away). He claims he is being fired (actually, his contract is not being renewed.  There is a difference) for his left wing views, and some may agree with him on that, altho Yale claims otherwise.  And his views, while extreme, are definitely not the most extr...
