Apparently France is up to its old tricks.  Being unable to tweak "Les Americans" noses this time, they are doing it to their fellow Europeans by sabotaging the WTO talks, not on behalf of La France, but on behalf of the whole EU!

In a startling revelation to this writer, apparently the European Union is an animal farm of states.  Where Germany and France are more equal than the other members.  Such that:

they have a big say in the running of the EU but its the two of them
France & Germany that work very closely that run it
some countrys like the UK have a veto which the above 2 would like to remove which can hold them in check but France is by far the biggest receiver of cash from the EAP ...

This is reminiscent to the founding of the United states where 11 of the colonies/states were deathly afraid of New York and Virginia, as they were the biggies and the other 11 did not want them to tyrannize the smaller ones.  So they made, in essence, all states pretty much equal.  As Virginia goes, the nation does not go (not even California, altho they would like you to think so).

Not so in the EU.  As Germany and France go, so goes the EU, and France in an act of exercising its dominance, is sabotaging the rest of the countries.

Not to tell Europeans - I told you so - but These dumb colonials over here could have told them so!  After all, it is not like it is unprecedented for the French to do that.  Just think NATO and Libya for recent history.

The EU was created primarily as a powerhouse Juggernaut to compete with America and Japan, and soon with China and India.  But when you have a bunch of nationalistic chiefs, and no indians, it is doomed to failure.

Too Bad.  I thought the original concept was a good one.  But the implementation is typical French.
