Jennifer1 has been writing articles that invite audience participation.  Some of the postings have been quite amusing.  But it reminded me of the Internet Story that we probably have all read about the assignment in writing glass and what 2 students did with it.  I believe we have found the real names of those people!  The Teacher was Jennifer, the Girl was KellyW and the boy was Draginol!  And here is what they wrote! (First paragraph by KellyW) At first, Laurie c...

Moveon.org has claimed credit for the defeat of Lieberman in the recent primary, and the Party of George Soros very well may be right.  Especially in light of their new found constituency.  For the Party that loves to say it has compassion, does not have any for Jews.  Not on that site at least where up to 95% of the posters there will agree with statements like " Jew Lieberman" and 90% agree with statements like: Christian Zionists are ultimately responsible for whatever Is...

Over the weekend, we had a mini drama event here. It seems last Friday a 21 year old WOMAN, disappeared. She worked at one of those strip mall centers and the security cameras showed her "appearingly willingly" getting into another car, and she was not seen by family or friends after that. Until Today. When they IDed her body. Another tragic story in a city full of them. But this one caught the attention of the local talking Richard - err excuse me, Cranium. He spent 2 hours on it yesterday ...

Long lost in antiquity, the legends of Witches and cats was legend.  Back in the days of black and white we had "Bell, Book, and Candle" with Pyawacki (sp).  (for the clueless, it had James Stewart and Kim Novak as well). What is it about cats?  Forget the witches!  But cats?  I was lonely and had not heard from my wife due to the cellular differences between europe and America in a week.  And only gotten spotty badly spelled emails due to the fact that Europe is...

I did not realize that our newest addition to our family was talkative!  But like Henry (with kudos to Dharma and her family member), yep she is! So with out further ado, Sally is going to write! Please come home moma!  Daddy never comes home at lunch!  When he does come home, he plays with me, but it is just not the same!  And he wont let me bite his neck at 2am!  He hides under the covers!  And he wont let me go out!  I managed to get out a couple of ti...

John Wayne, Kirk Douglas (Not Mike), Patricia Neal, Burgess Meredith, Henry Fonda, Carrol O'Conner, Dana Meredith. With a partial cast like that, no movie can go wrong.  And "In Harm's Way" never does.  Made in 1965, and still in Black and White, it is one of the defining movies of the greatest Generation (the other being The Longest Day).  And I only said "one of the greatest" as I know many have their own greatest movies.  But for me, this one is the greatest. The Lon...

Apparently, Mother Nature wants to celebrate the Anniversary of Katrina as well.  Her latest pupil is Ernesto, and he is headed for the Big Easy in about 6 days at at least (according to forecasts) at Cat 3 Hurricane. So the "great" people of N'orleans are going to find out.  Is Chocolate Ray smart enough to have learned?  Or are the School Busses going to get flooded as he sucks his thumb and taunts New York? Me?  I am just glad I am not there, but I have to pray from ...

Today is like a day many, many years ago, in a land far away.  Hot, Humid, and the last gasp of a sweltering summer.  Today I am doing house work, and watering the lawn.  Back then, we lived in Camp housing, and the lawn was always brown anyway.  It was Southern California. We had just moved in.  Having come from a place that was actually even more arid.  I was 12 going on 13, and the new kid in the area.  At the time, we were a family of 7.  And that w...

I have been a consultant for 13 years (past tense and I guess current tense as you will see).  In that time, I learned that your job was dependent upon the customer.  Very much so.  This was not a business you could do an "oops" and get away with it.  You had to make sure they were happy all the time.  And I learned that quickly.  Numbers meant nothing, the customer perception meant everything. At times, the wishes of my company would conflict with the desires of...

I have not been alive for total of the latest incarnation of Israel.  At least 2 on JU have.  One a highly respected member, and the other also.  Perhaps more of you.  I do not know. But I do know one thing.  Israel was born of conflict, and they have held their own against overwhelming odds.  Why?  Why can a nation of a few million hold out against those odds? We have many opinions.  But quite frankly, it is their will to survive!  Something th...

Now he has gone and done it!  Yes, that destroyer of worlds, BUSH, has not just taken out a lowly country, he has overseen the elimination of an ENTIRE PLANET!  Pluto is gone, wiped from the celestial heavens ON BUSH'S WATCH! Oh wait!  Sorry, I was channeling another Joe User.  Sorry people for that slip of the pen. But the story is true, our beloved dog of Disneyland is gone.  Wait, no.  That Pluto is still around.  The Pluto of the Planets has been demo...

Yea, I guess my Neighborhood is.  In it, I know my neighbors.  Why?  We are not afraid to stand outside and do yardwork and talk.  In it, I see people walking down the road.  And a man on a bicycle riding by with a child on the back, and yelling "Hi Mom" to the walking lady.  I see a father strolling his daughter.  I see many people walking their dogs and as they pass, saying Hi.  I suspect their dogs are not from this street, but from others around her...
