I remember when I was still a teen reading about Lt Hiroo Onada and how he had hid out for almost 30 years in the jungles of the Phillipines waiting to be rescued by his comrades.  For a child of 17, that was an almost unbelievable tale, and yet (as long as you dont think the moon landings were a hoax), it was true. Now comes a story that 2 more have been found, and possibly another 40 still hiding!  That is over 60 years since the war ended.  Both are reported to be in th...

Ah, yes, perhaps it is poetic justice (if only the 2 groups were one in the same).  What our mothers use to tell us (at least the boys, you ladies will have to speak up to let us know if she told you this as well), seems to be coming true. Dont Masturbate!  You'll go blind! While not exactly the same, it appears that Maybe Viagra will make you go blind as well!  The FDA is investing 50 reports of blindness while using the drug (there is no direct link at this point).  ...

This is a question on a standardized test for 7th graders in North Carolina.  Can anyone tell me what is wrong with it? (non-americans can be excused if they do not know) The team opened with a 6-yard loss, a 3-yard gain and a 2-yard loss, which would have made it fourth down with 15 yards to go for a first down. The team's fourth play was just a 7-yard gain, and the next 2 plays were a 12-yard gain and a 4-yard gain. What was the average gain for the teams first 6 plays? ...

Quote from the source of socialized medicine: THE National Health Service should not have to give life- prolonging treatment to every patient who demands it because that would mean a crippling waste of resources, the Government said yesterday So yesterday it was a poor incoherant woman.  Today it is a coherant one. Tomorrow? Let the ones that opened this pandora's box defend it. Ooops! He could speak!  Sorry ghouls.

Today was another day in Peyton Place.  With one side going catty against another, and the other striking back. And the losers?  The rest of us who read and respect all involved, and refuse to take sides.  All are guilty in trying to force the issue.  None are blameless. Right now, I dont care to read any of the involved JU members unless and until they call of this jihad against the others.  We are not talking dull-does. We are talking members in good standing.&nb...

Stevendedalus wrote an article about the alleged prisoner abuse, and I agree totally with him!  I think he made an excellant point. And since he wanted to frame my admission, I figured a whole blog saying he is right would look better than a short comment on his. So Steven, You are RIGHT! Suitable for Framing.

From the Patoots mouth himself: Dean: Well, a Democratic socialist --all right, we're talking about words here. And Bernie can call himself anything he wants. He is basically a liberal Democrat . Now, any liberal want to step up and yell that Dean is a card carrying member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy? I dont know about you, but it looks like one of your own just said that liberal Democrats are really Socialists. Dabe, is that true??????? w00t

Yep, Margaret Marshall, the Il Duce of the Mass SC, has this lame joke about her recent reception: Marshall began with a joke about the blue and white balloons suspended from the Gosman Sports Center ceiling. She said she liked the colors, which included ''no red states"--winning a big laugh. Makes you want to respect the judiciary even more......NOT! "

From Meet the Press, Sunday, May 22, 2005: Dean: The thing that really bothered me the most, which the 9/11 Commission said also wasn't true, is the insinuation that the president continues to make to this day that Osama bin Laden had something to do with supporting terrorists that attacked the United States . That is false. The 9/11 Commission, chaired by a Republican, said it was false. Is it wrong to send people to war without telling them the truth. And the truth was Osama bin Laden...
