From the Patoots mouth himself:

Dean: Well, a Democratic socialist--all right, we're talking about words here. And Bernie can call himself anything he wants. He is basically a liberal Democrat.

Now, any liberal want to step up and yell that Dean is a card carrying member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy?

I dont know about you, but it looks like one of your own just said that liberal Democrats are really Socialists.

Dabe, is that true??????? w00t

Anyone that believes the country isn't going socialist has to be living under a rock! Ask any Republican, ask any Democrat they will tell you the same same thing.Of course they will bitch back and forth, thats the game. I'm sorry America, but you lost a once great country.

Yet another reason I'll support Libertarian in '08 if Dean is nominated.

How did you come up with THAT conclusion? If you actually put the quote in context, you will notice that Dean said Sanders is not a socialist, but instead, a liberal democrat. When he said "we're talking about words here", he means they're getting into semantics and labels, which, as we saw in the thread about what the definition of a neocon is, is not helpful.

As defind;when neither party upholds the law of the land, caters to an already established socialist government,In disguise....[AS Mexico]and rambles between an established RNC/DNC two party system, without voters consideration, how defind must it be????Never mind
the reason being that two thirds of the American government was elected by illegals!

I am not sure he will last till 08 as chair, but if he does, expect another Republican win.

How?  By just looking at his quote IN context. He admitted Bernie was a Socialist, and then said that he is really just a liberal democrat.  Ergo, socialists are liberal Democrats, and Liberal Democrats are socialist.

If a conservative had said that, the liberals would be roasting them on a spit!  But even Reid and Pelosi cant muzzle this clown.

No, Dean did not say Sanders was a socialist. Maybe that's difficult to realize because you didn't see the video clip and the way he said it.

He didn't say, all right, he is a socialist. He said all right, we're talking labels now.

And so is the quote. Socialism, like Liberalism, is a label. He is saying they are one in the same.

Now, if I had said that, I would be called a right wing, facist, neocon death cultist. But I can say that Dean said it, and while the same effect, the left cannot attack me as their leader said it.
