Yea, I am just smiling and laughing. And with tutoring, not a lot of time to blog. But just wanted to say hi to everyone (especially the Masons, Dyna and Mason). My wife is swamped! The other PL is out for the next 2 months! SO I am tutoring her student! I am a lousy tutor! But we are managing to survive! I am not a merry man (Worf)! But I will survive to Tutor! Damn that is hard! later!
Yea, my articles and time on JU has been curtailed. For the first time since I joined, I am actually able to do my job without 'The Captain' or his Grima doing the finger pointing game! So each day I work a hard day (sometimes 12 hours now), and I love it! I would love to say that I have gotten more accomplished in the last week, than in the preceding 3 years, but that would be an exaggeration. Not a big one! Not by much. Since his departure, I have managed to gain ...
I love the idea. But I question the implementation. But actually, this is not really about that, but about my one experience. Yes, with My aunt! I used up all the minutes on my cell phone (free long distance) but she is up and running and again on the net, and now protected not only by Zone Alarm but by a hardware Gateway/Router! But what a chore! I know Florida has easier winters, but I sure could have used a pair of (knowledgeable) hands down there! As it...
That is no typo! 180 viruses! I am working on my cousin's daughter's computer and that is how many she had! It is by far and away the record for me. I have never had anyone even begin to approach that number of viruses on a single computer! And it is still not right! In addition, it had over 1200 items of spy/ad Ware on it (I have heard worst stories on that as I am on a Resnet list). And why am I working on it? She complained she was getting "out of memory...
Yea, my Aunt recently moved to FLA! (Hey Mason! She is your neighbor). And she graduated from Dialup to DSL! Oh Boy! Yea, no hardare firewall! She is naked as a jay bird, and I am powerless to help her! (But I think a cousin is there so I am calling soon). When I talk about the users of the Internet, I talk about "Aunt Ida". Well, this one is not quite like that, but close! So I am trying to figure out how to get her an ethernet card (she is hooked up...
The title really says it all. In the middle of the Bush bashing by the democrats, along comes some tin plated dictator and calls Bush "el Diablo". Even referencing the fact he could smell the sulfur at the podium of the UN (My Motto: he who smelt it dealt it). Ok, the UN is neutral territory and I have already commented that the sad parts of his speech is that a National leader (dictator in his case) would stoop to infantile behavoir, and the sadder part is that he would get...
Yes, my wife submitted the picture to an internet contest and she is in the finals! Sally is cute (and a pain in the neck! Quicker than Speedy Gonzalez!). But for those that like cute, here is the pic submitted. She is female and females and flowers........
Yes, some cities are not only protecting themselves against terrorist attacks, but doing it cheaply! I loved this article when I read it and could not beleive the simplicity! What an idea! It seems some cities are using Bluegill (crappies to us fishermen), to warn of poisoning a water supply! How many of us have gone fishing for bass or trout and hooked one of these? They are ok eating, but lousy fighters and not what we are looking for! Bluegill is kind of l...
It seems that not only is Bush destroying America, he is destroying French politics as well! It seems that conservative candidate Nicolas Sarkozy is being accused (like Blair) of being a Bush Suck up! Why? Did he (Nicolas) agree with Bush about Iraq? No. Did he (Nicolas) criticize the yellow streak on the backs of the French (debatable), no. So what did he do? He Committed the capital crime of saying - he liked Bush! Yes, in a country that prides itself on ...
Scams. Some are clearly illegal (the Nigerian money one and its derivatives) and others are only marginally legal. Today we talk about the marginally legal ones. There are 2 types. One promises a free 30 day sample (Enzyte), but you have to buy a 30 day sample. And as they are selling you sugar pills, they make money from day one. hell, they can send you a year free! If you pay for a year, and they still make money! And they share one thing in common ...

After reading Parated2k's blogs and coming to know San Chonino (we will by pass the translation. ), I have learned great respect for the Mormons, or the Church of Latter Day Saints. And those are not all the ones I know, and indeed I respect them all! Even the few that have knocked on my door (a pleasant people that do not harrangue me like the JWs!). But I do not respect Jeffs! And somehow, maybe, I may not be disrespecting my Mormon friends. I welcome corrections.&...
Ok, I know that at the current time, women have a right to an abortion. But apparently some people think that "right" should be made mandatory if it is their daughter, regardless of her age. It appears that a woman, 19 years old (by law she can enter into contracts and has all the rights of an adult except drinking) was dating a boy that her parents did not approve of (that just described about half the parents in America I would guess). She got pregnant. So they kidnapped h...
