Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Published on September 18, 2006 By Dr Guy In Current Events

After reading Parated2k's blogs and coming to know San Chonino (we will by pass the translation. ), I have learned great respect for the Mormons, or the Church of Latter Day Saints.  And those are not all the ones I know, and indeed I respect them all!  Even the few that have knocked on my door (a pleasant people that do not harrangue me like the JWs!).

But I do not respect Jeffs!  And somehow, maybe, I may not be disrespecting my Mormon friends.  I welcome corrections.  But this guy was just predatory.  It had nothing to do with his religion, but just with control.

And in that they are deviant.  And in that, no I do not respect them.  I respect the holders of that religion who are making sure that the spirit of the founder is held like a torch for all to follow (and BTW, most of the ones I know first hand are converts, not born to it).

Deviants destroy what they hope to promote.  Do you really want to be a Jeffs?

Or a real person?

Deviants want us to believe they are normal, and in the end they just pervert the message.  Right now, the LDS (Mormons) are going through a lot of that.  And I for one Hope they nip this in the bud.

I dont want to see it, or let it expand.  But that is just me.

Jeffs is not a saviour.  He is a pedophile.  And I am sorry for those who thought differently.

Prosecutors hope the arrest will break Jeffs's hold on nearly 10,000 followers and empower them to speak out about their lives within the sect and the arranged marriages of young girls there, some just 13 years old.

I do not know anything about the man or the religion Dr G, just what I read on the link, the quote above is enough for me to say, yes he is a paedophile and should be prosecuted as such. my opinion.

You know what Jen?  I am the same as you.  And yes, that is what I based my opinion upon!  I know LDS/Mormons, and none of them have even tried to be like him or excuse him.

We do not have to excuse every deviant.  Not by a long shot.

BTW, you get the special cookie!

An important thing to know is that Jeffs is not a member of the actual Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was the leader of a knock-off, break-off little sect (which, consequently, we believe has no authority) called the Fundamental Church of yadda-yadda-yadda. In other words, this kinda stuff is not even representative of our church. Most people don't know that, but it's true - he's not even a member of the actual LDS church.

But, on topic . . . yup. I agree. The guy was one sick cookie and I'm glad that he's behind bars for now.

Well, he's a sick bastard...

That's all I have to say and I think you'll all agree with me.

I know.  It is a shame he calls himself a member.  I know you have to live with freaks like him pretending to be a Mormon, but I respect your Church all the more for standing up to people like him.

Of Course!  No one would doubt the bell curve killer!

San Chonino, you just hit on a hot button for me.

For years, I have heard Mormons correct evangelical Christians who refuse to recognize Mormons as "Christian", by saying that THEY, the Mormons, have the right to define whether or not they are "Christian". Then, when Mormon splinter groups like the FLDS are called "Mormon", the Mormons are the first to chime in "they're NOT Mormon". Honestly, you can't have it both ways.

It's fair to say they're not SLC Mormons, or that they're not Mormons as most Americans know Mormons, but if Mormons want to be accepted among the Christian community, it is unreasonable of them to demand that splinter groups are "not Mormon", when in fact, they are in SOME ways closer to practicing Mormonism as the founders of Mormonism practiced it than are many modern day practitioners of the SLC church that we know commonly as "Mormons".

You have a tough road to hoe right now.  Underage is in your age group.  But it still is statutory rape.  All kidding aside, be careful.

But you still kill the bell curve!
