Lynne Stewart is outraged!  yes outraged!  How could the US hold Lawyers and especially activist ones, to the same laws as the common people! For those not in the know, she is one of those 60/70s lawyers that forgot that the Vietnam war is over, and this war is about people attacking the US, not just shooting soldiers in a far away land.  She aided and abetted Omar Abdel-Rahman, the blind Muslim Cleric who was instrumental in the first WTC attack. And she is outraged?  ...

Well, it happened.  I did not like doing it, but I found the post to be highly offensive, as did others.  It is the first time I have deleted anyone's comments on any of my blogs. I know the topics I post can get incendiary, and I love a good jousting match.  I dont even care if you come onto my blog and call me stupid, crazy, an idiot, Moron, Turd, Ferd Berfull, or George Carlin's 7 forbidden words.  Rage against my topic, rage against me. Love me, hate me, destest me, or...

The Gestapo have taken over my place of employment.  For those like Little Whip that think I am cheating my employer, I merely point you to the simple fact that Windows, Linux and Mac OSX are multi-tasking, so I can do my job (and get excellant reviews) and still read other articles when the latest service packs or talks with the moron techs on the phone are going on. But in their fervant zealousy, they have shut down JU.  They think!  Such stupid fools! I have outwitted the...

Hey Karma and Brad, I am now initiating a campaign to get Danny Bassette at least an honorary moderator status. A couple of months ago, I had a question, just a curious one.  And while Karma answered it, it was not before Danny Nailed it! Switch to the present.  Moderateman had some questions, and the man of the Hour?  Danny again!  I horned in on the article with another question of my own (more serious this time), and the man of the Hour?  Danny! You got a gem...

Ok, so maybe I am not.  I dont post articles just top get responses.  Some of my best never see the light of even one response.  I dont bump (or grind), so I just post and comment. But some one likes me!  I have made the top 10 of Blogdom!  I am Somebody! Ok, I was before and I will be after I am a foot note on JU.  Just wanted to do a Boo yah!  While I was top 10. Damn if I know how it happened. Oh Wait!  All the material the loony loopy luddi...

Ever heard of that statement?  It is actually a good way to describe getting a back handed compliment, and one of our favorite writers (RIGHT!) has just damned some of our fellow bloggers with faint praise. There are conservatives on this site who do the right loads of favors with good writing and well-thought-out ideas, including Bakerstreet and Larry Kuperman. Sorry Larry and Baker.  I think you are well written and very articulate, regardless of what the local village ...

I am an avid reader.  As a child, I read many books, and almost all the classic Science Fiction that I could get my hands on.  These years, I still read a lot, but most of it is Technical manuals.  I read for enjoyment about 2-3 books a year, usually on the long flights to California I take a couple of times a year. My Latest endeavor is to read Brian Herbert, Frank's son.  For the uninitiated, Frank Herbert wrote the masterful Dune Series.  One of my all time favorit...

In the last 24-48n hours Gideon MacLeish talk about the Purity of women and Texas Wahine talk about women and they are not going to stand down to any man. Both are correct.  Yet I offer a different view.  I plain dont understand them!  They drive me wild and drive me crazy!  They can be as soft as a butterfly, or as ferocious as a caged cat!  They are as strong as an ox, and as delicate as a flower! And they are as unfathomable as infinity!  I just plain will ...

I had hoped to post a positive article for my 100, but then the jerk Lynne Stewart got in the way.  So I will just say, 100 after 5 months, and I thought I had run out of steam long ago. No, but it has been fun, and not all of mine gather responses, but when they do!  The heat would melt the fleas off a camel! That is ok.  I respect almost all Bloggers here at JU, but few of the anonymous posters.  That you, both liberal and conservative (And Thatoneguyinslc, I am a con...

I am curious.  Why do we get email notifications from info@stardock.com , Wincustomize, and 2 different versions of Joe User?  Sometimes on the same thread, I get all 4. I am just curious.  Not a complaint, but I have a fault.  I always try to figure out things! Thanks for anyone that can help.

Give me a head of hair, long beautiful hair, shinin', gleamin', steamin', flaxin', waxin'. give me down to there hair, sholder length or longer, here baby, there mama, everywhere..... Acknowledgement to Treat Williams. What is it about Hair.  Half the guys I know are bald, or very short cut.  And we like it that way (and yes, count me as one - it is cooler).  Yet on a woman, even one that may not be pretty at first glance, long hair is sexy, provacative, cute, and just id...

Long lost in antiquity, the legends of Witches and cats was legend.  Back in the days of black and white we had "Bell, Book, and Candle" with Pyawacki (sp).  (for the clueless, it had James Stewart and Kim Novak as well). What is it about cats?  Forget the witches!  But cats?  I was lonely and had not heard from my wife due to the cellular differences between europe and America in a week.  And only gotten spotty badly spelled emails due to the fact that Europe is...

How many like Sarcasm?  I revel in it!  I love it!  Yes, I am a sarcastic SOB!  I am very sarcastic.  Sarcasm is a way of making a point when you are dealing with a bunch of 'feeling' people instead of thinking ones.  So I use it daily (I work for a 'Feeling' Agency anyway). The latest example is a co-worker.  One of those "feeling" people who said he was only working there because he thought he could do some good (yet he sweated when his contractor job ...

Recently, I bought my son an iPod for helping me in the yard.  He earned it!  but when it came, it would not work!  No matter what we tried, it would not work.  I spent an hour on the phone with their tech support - no luck.  They told me to return it to the Apple store. Well, I am not a technoneophyte.  So it was not like I was a rube about it.  I know how to follow instructions and the tech lady was very polite.  So after work (I am working half days ...

Ah yes, that old cliché - the Road to hell is paved with good intentions.  It may be old, and it may be a cliché, but like other natural laws, it is also true.  And it is about to be proven again by the Evil big box store Wal-Mart and the City of Chicago. Chicago has decided to gig big companies.  Requiring that they pay their employees a 'living' wage of at least $10/hour with another $3/hour kicked in for benefits (probably mostly health, but also Vacation and sick time).&nbs...
