Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
All Pagans welcome however
Published on April 29, 2005 By Dr Guy In Politics

The ACLU, as many now know, sued the City and County of Los Angeles to remove a cross from its seal.  Shock!  They must be supporting the separation of Church and state.

But if that was the case, why did they not object to the pagan goddess on the same seal?

Because they dont care about the separation of Church and State, tehy only care about harassing Christians for their own perverted ends.

The proof is in the deeds, as their words are worthless.

Not that I like the UCLU or anything but from what I gather when it comes to cases it would seem to be all about who brings it to them. If someone brings a case about the pagen goddess then they will fight it I guess.

At any rate, I do not know what the ACLU is up to these days. Sadly such a strong systems for justice might get is 'just deserts' when too many people are fed up with it. Unfortunately, the actions against the ACLU will probabaly be sever and any good that the UCLU could have done will now be hampered.

At the wonderful age of 30, I now have no doubt what goes around comes around. If you keep doing evil sooner or later you will be stopped (not saying the ACLU is evil, I am just saying). If it is true as to what they do, sooner or later there will be more than enough evidence to show so and someone will take them to court or get laws passed or they will loose membership (maybe a conbination)

Word to the wise; do good and maybe when the pendulem swings back you won't get hurt.

which pagan goddess would that be dr guy? if you're advocating removal of the native woman in the center of the seal, perhaps you might wanna retitle your article something like: The ACLU-Anti-John Wayne or What?

the aclu is doin somethin perverse with the native woman?
is that a pagan goddess temple to her left or is she just happy to see the padres come to enslave her people?

Pagan goddess? That's just a woman carrying what looks like harvested crops. Where do you get the notion that she's a pagan goddess? Really, I want to know.

As for the cross, I'm confused. If you are referring to the layout of the seal, then I do think the ACLU, and/or whomever put them up to this, is over the top. That "cross" layout could also be construed as some type of mandala, or circle of life. Or, is it written somewhere that it is a Christian symbol, in which case, I would have to agree with the ACLU. It would be just as inappropriate to use a Star of David, or any other religious symbol, as a symbol for a city.

until last year, there was a cross in one of the smaller panels (actually a cross, two stars and the hollywood bowl). it was replaced with a likeness of a mission, the hollywood bowl and stars panel--sans cross--was moved up (to replace some oil derricks) and the pagan goddess, pomona, was replaced with a native woman.

apparently the news hasnt filtered down to the crank media.

Apparently not. I was going to ask him what kind of drugs he was taking that would make him see this woman as "pagan". But, ya know, it's all in the eyes of the beholder. And, as Dr. Guy stated, "The proof is in the deeds, as their words are worthless." I think he was referring to himself, as empty and baseless trashing is indeed proof of his deeds, or at least this particular one.

You know you "were" doing real good until the end. *You* want to talk about empty and baseless trashing? You have no room to talk.

LA removed her without their protest.  The ACLU protested the cross, but not the pagan Godess.  So what part of that do you not understand or comprehend?  I do not feel like googling her name, but she was a part of that as well.  They changed her to native american when they removed the cross as well.  Under threat from the ACLU.

How much of that do you fail to comprehend?

Ah what the hell.  Save yourself some googling:

all arranged around an image of Pomona, a pagan goddess.

See Previous response.  Pagan Godess.  What part of that do you not understand?

Likeness of  a Mission?  I think not.  Likeness of a house is more like it. And so you found your pagan goddess.  Why did you ask in the first place?

And you dare debate their hypocrisy?

I am 20 years ahead of you and I have been warning that.  But it falls on deaf ears.  So sad.

Ah, Dabe!  you never fail to fail my expectations!  The pagan goddess was told to you twice.  The words of the ACLU in going after a cross over a pagan goddess are a matter of record.  your failure to comprehend simple english is again apparent.  You only failed in that you were predicted to fail.

Failures are so predictable.

You failed.  Again.
