Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

One of our fellow bloggers asked the question "Where's the Whining?" in refernce to where was all the whining about the election that had occurred after the 2k, 2k2, and 2k4 elections.  Instead, within a couple of days, most of the close races that had democrats winning, the republicans graciuously conceded without putting up a fight and whining  about life being unfair.  Indeed, the last 2 senate races that got called were eligible for recounts, but neither of the losing senators asked for one.  They conceded.

But lo and behold, that blogger jumped the gun!  For indeed there has been winning and crying and bawling about stolen elections!  Oh, but wait, the blogger was right!  It is not the republicans doing it! Nope, It is the democrats, who cannot even be gracious in winning!  They are now trying to steal a seat that they narrowly lost in Florida!

Vern Buchanan beat Christine Jennings by fewer than 400 votes.  However, it only takes one vote to win, and he got that plus 300 odd.  Yet now they want to steal his seat charging (with no basis in fact or even any evidence) that he stole the election!  Yep, Karl Rove must have masterminded the theft of one house seat out of the 230 odd the democrats won!  That crafty Karl!

Even in victory, the democrats cannot be gracious.  Instead we have one Jerk-Elect being just that to the POTUS, and then a whiny baby in florida that cannot accept the fact that fewer people voted for her than her opponent.  In the latter case, maybe she should listen to herself and her party whine and cry and stamp their feet.  For then they would know why she lost.

One thing America does not like is a sore loser.  But what it detests is a boorish Winner.  And right now those are called democrats.

the one with the "same old rhetoric" is you. calling anyone who won't walk in lock step with the administration "liberal."

Actually, no. He is not in lock step with anyone. He pisses on both sides (so far as I have read). He called you a liberal (and I agree - albeit a sane rational one) because that is what you post. Not because he is a Bush sycophant.

You may be a libertarian (and as you call yourself one, only God can discern the truth in that), yet your writings go towards the liberal side. You call me a neocon. I am not, but then I am not going to kill you over that label, just accept the fact that you have not read much of my tirades.

well, your statement would suggest that libertarianism is wholly conservative. i don't see it that way. a guy like ron paul may be more conservative than i, or gideon for that matter. on the other hand, i'm probably right of a libertarian like bill maher , but that really doesn't matter.

overall, i usually end up somewhere in the middle. that used to be called moderate, today's buzz word is centrist i believe.

from where i sit, ya'll call anything even slightly left of ourselves "liberal." and ya'll do it with some malice. and the attempt is to lump me in with loons like rosie o donnell and the democratic underground by genericizing everything even slightly left of any view as "liberal."

now, you might see it as "the same thing" when i use the term neocon or neoconservative. and that would be fair enough. but i n my defense i would say that i use that term not as one of malice, but as one that has supported the very non conservative policies of this administration, particularly in the areas of foreign policy.

would it be fair to say that i sit on the left side of some issues? sure. does that conflict with my libertarian beliefs? no. as i've said before, "we the people " and "we the company" are hardly the same thing to me. so i don't see some of the issues the same as a ron paul would see it. but don't forget, i happen to agree with him and the libertarian party on many and the most important of their issues as i do have a more conservative look at some issues. as far as i know, real conservatives are non interventionists.

and besides guy, ya should thank me for revivin this ol post, lol

You call me a neocon.

Doc compared to Sean "the Libertarian" you would be neocon.

excuse me, what is so "liberal" about not liking how this administration pisses on the constitution?

You are excused, the bathroom is down the hall and to your right.

Sean, Sean, Sean. This is just getting worse. I pointed out EXACTLY what I meant and you took it as an attack on your statement. I neither agreed nor disagreed with your comment. I only pointed out that your comment had NOTHING to do with the article. Your comment is only a Liberal talking point hence why you sound so liberal. It is extremely difficult to have a conversation with someone who cannot see past that.

overall, i usually end up somewhere in the middle. that used to be called moderate, today's buzz word is centrist i believe.

So then now you are saying you are a centrist? What the?

and the attempt is to lump me in with loons like rosie o donnell and the democratic underground by genericizing everything even slightly left of any view as "liberal."

There is no attempt. Sean, you put yourself there. There is no voice of reason with you and that is why ModerateMan advised that the two of you stay away from each other. SanChonino has liberal views but people can reason and agree to disagree. You on the other hand sound more like a liberal apologist.

does that conflict with my libertarian beliefs? no

What??? now you are libertarian? I thought you just said you were centrist?

BTW before you go around calling people neocons that aren't neocons you might hold your tongue. Because by your definition that would be anyone who doesn't hold as liberal of a view as you do.

Hence your labeling Doc.

Hmm, you do the same thing you accuse 'neocons' of doing.

Starting to sound like a charlatan.
