Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

In what has to be one of the funnier edicts in the religion of Islam, a former dean of law at Al Azhar University, Rashad Hassan Khalil has decreed that full nudity during the act of copulation, with a spouse no less, invalidates the marriage!

Well, looking at some women (since I am a man - you women can use your own anecdotes), I think that looking at some of them fully nude would turn me off of sex, but invalidate a marriage?  Please!  They married each other to begin with, so they had to have something there.  And performing an act for the procreation of children can be performed in the dark if you dont want to see some things!  But clothes do tend to get in the way of, um, you know, that thing! "Honey, can you move your burka a little to the left for me?  Thanks!"

Fortunately, his former colleagues are not in agreement with this Mullah, and have rejected his Fatwa.  Still, remaining clothed during the act of love making can have its advantages.  Like not getting pregnant, reducing the risk of STDs, among other things I guess.

But this fatwa is not going to convince me to convert to Islam ANYTIME in the future.

As long as they are leather?

It is only role play if part of the costume stays on.

I'll will never understand why there are so many people who are so enthralled with and even willing to die for this religion.

I just don't get it. Oh well, I'm gonna go see if i can invalidate my marriage now...

Judging by the very daring lingerie I see here in the shops of Cairo, I would say that many Muslims, like ourselves, have quite imaginative sex lives!

I remember seeing the same lingerie in shops in Saudi Arabia. Anyone for a lacy bra made entirely of silver? How about a jewel encrusted thong? Or, if you have the means, a gold bikini?

Apparently the people of the land of Mecca have a different idea of what's right and wrong in the bedroom, than the good Dean.

But then again, wearing these isn't exactly "nude" is it? ;~D

How do they derive any enjoyment from such a hobbled, controlled relationship?

I remember while I was in the services and working with USAF personal, I was told it was considered improper behaviour and therefore not allowed, for husbands to sleep with their wives in any other position than the missionary. I don't know if it were true but according to a number of people it was.

Can anybody confirm or deny this for me?

I thought those were just in Victoria's secrets!

Was that the Pat Robertson AF?

Sorry, I was not in the AF, but perhaps some of our AF ladies and gents can say (Being an Army, Navy and spending time on Marine bases, there were no such edicts there).
