Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Remember the story about the Dartmouth UMass student who got a visit from the Department of Homeland security because he wanted an original copy of Mao's Little Red Book?  The one that Ted {hic} Kennedy then proceeded to use to slam Bush and indicate how outraged he was?

Just this past week there were public reports that a college student in Massachusetts had two government agents show up at his house because he had gone to the library and asked for the official Chinese version of Mao Tse-tung's Communist Manifesto. - Ted Kennedy in the Boston Globe

For the record, it was not the Communist Manifesto as that was written by Marx and Engels before Mao was born! But I guess we can excuse Ted {hic} Kennedy in his inebriated state for not knowing the difference.

Well, Mr. {hic} Kennedy, where is your apology?  Why an apology?  Because the student has come clean and admitted it was all a hoax!  A lie!  Has Kennedy printed a retraction in the Boston Globe? Do you have a Lobotomy?

Nope, all those eager to slam Bush for doing what the job dictates, and what he was elected to do, all those willing to bet that every single solitary lie about the president must be true since it paints Bush in a bad light, Nope, you are not going to see any retractions from them!

I can see Ted {hic} Kennedy now claiming he was fooled!  Not hard to do really.  First he was fooled by Bush, the dumbest president ever, and now by a snot nosed college kid!  Yep, he was fooled all right.  Seems he is always being fooled.  Which makes him a nice fool.  But you know who the bigger fools are?  The ones that are fooled by a fool.

This would be funny if it weren't true. And I DON'T excuse Kennedy for not knowing the difference between Mao's "Little Red Book" and Marx and Engels' "Communist Manifesto". His brother stood on the wall for one of the most dramatic showdowns of the entire Cold War, for crying out loud.

But I guess his inanity is the reason he was he one Kennedy brother that was spared a bullet! Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Dr.

(for the record, I personally purchased "The Anarchist Cookbook" off the Internet as a test to see if there would be any action by the feds, so I KNOW this guy's full of bunk!)

I wonder if he is insulted that he is not worth the price of a bullet?

Because it just adds logs to the fire over which everyone burns Bush in effigy. And roasts marshmallows.

For all the people out there saying how Bush is an idiot, Bush can't tie his shoes, Bush doesn't read... he sure is one crafty and cunning SOB. But wait, he's an idiot... unless the argument du jour calls for GWB to be one or the other.

I wonder if he is insulted that he is not worth the price of a bullet?

Lucky us.

I know, and that drives the left crazy!  being outsmarted at every step by a simpleton!

Man, you are really grasping at straws here. I'd be willing to be that 99.9% of the public never even heard of this story. About the same percentage couldn't care less what Ted Kennedy has to say. He's in the fringe of the democratic party and is completely irrelevant, except to the right wingers who spend every free minute trying to uncover some little piece of dirt about a democrat.

I own a book of Mao's poems in German.

It was a birthday present.

I have it because my favourite card game is a (self-invented) variant of Mau-Mau called "Mau-Tse-Tung". In Mau-Tse-Tung the Queen of Hearts is the "Mau-Tse-Tung" card which can win the game.

There is also the Queen of Spades, which can always be played on top of any Jack (the idea had to do with a girl I knew at school, but she was NOT like that!), and the Queens of Clubs and Diamonds, who are gay and could be played on top of each other.

It's a great game and my friends and I played it more often than was good for us, starting in high school. We lost dozens of decks to teachers.

I also have a card set box with lots of pictures of Mao. The first (and only) official Mau-Tse-Tung card deck is kept in it.

In short: I think Ted Kennedy is nuts.

How is reporting facts, from mainstream media outlets (the Boston Globe is not?) and from one of the oldest members of the Senate (Kennedy) grasping at straws?  I dont live in Boston and I heard about it, so your statement is blatantly false!  And spend every free minute?  Who needs to?  You cannot walk 10 paces with stumbling over their latest shit!  How about you quit trying to hide your head in the sand and take a look around you instead of just launching into baseless attacks on those you do not agree with, do not understand, and cannot comprehend?

It would behoove you to post a single fact once in a while.  If that is indeed at all possible for you.

Finally, if this is such a stretch, why did you waste the time to read it?  Or did you?  Me thinks the latter.

I was thinking more Monty Python, but as they are English, I guess the Marx Brothers are good enough!

Two hours flight.

Really?  That far?  Well, at least it is a different country!

You have to go through.. let's see... New Hampshire, Maine, and cross the border into New Brunswick... then take a ferry over to Halifax.

And that's on I-95. You know how bad I-95 gets, Doc.

And that border crossing is packed with little old ladies on a drug run.
