Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

OK, who hear believes that Newsmax.com is right wing media?  Show of hands please? One, two, three, four, five - wait, kingbee, you can only vote once.  OK pretty much everyone here.  OK, Now I am going to ask how many think that CNN is left wing? One, two, three, four, Zoomba, let Moderateman raise his hand!

OK, a couple of left of center, and pretty much all of the right of center people.  Pretty much what I expected.  OK, now for a couple of headlines:

Judge OKs subpoenas of Limbaugh doctors - CNN, December 12, 2005

Fla. Judge Upholds Rush Limbaugh's Medical Privacy Rights - Newsmax, December 12, 2005

Same story, different headlines. But the ruling was actually 2 parts:  Part one, concerned subpoenaing the doctors.  The state won that part and CNN dove right into that immediately.  However part 2 was in upholding the doctor-patient confidentiality and the state lost that one.  But how do you know that?

You had to read down to paragraph 7 to find that little nugget of information:

Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, said in a statement that the decision upheld "our argument that the state cannot breach doctor-patient confidentiality just because it has obtained some medical records," Black said.

So if I read the judge correctly, and the actual ruling, the State can talk to the doctors anything they want, just nothing to do with the doctor patient confidentiality.  That sounds like a victory for Roy Black and Rush Limbaugh, not a victory for the state.  What are they going to talk to the doctors about?  Their golf game?  Or their latest investments?  Might make for a great discussion, but hardly something the DAs should be doing on Taxpayer time.

So now, does anyone want to change their vote?

Nice analysis...

So far, I haven't found a truly unbiased news source. MSM is definitely liberal (at least according to MY standards) and while I watch and enjoy Fox News, you won't find me saying that they don't swing right of center. I choose to use Fox News as my main source of information, but I do so realizing that they favor the right and that to get to the bottom of any story, you'd have to look at several sources, as you have done in this article.

I just wonder how long the state of Florida is going to spend on this fishing trip before they actually charge him with something. For an "open and shut" case, they are sure taking a long time trying to get it "open". ;~D

After reading the 2 headlines, I just decided to have fun at CNN's expense.  I guess it should have gone under humor, but then Ted's stuff kind of intimidates me!  He is that good!

I dont think it will ever go anywhere.  They already tried the blackmail and Roy Black shot them down.  But I think it is fun to watch!

I'm leaning more to the right everyday.....soon I might not be a ahhh..a left of the center, ya that's it.
I thought I was a liberal, but I was wrong.

Interesting.  I guess I could see you as a liberal in your youth, but lately (since your JU days), you have not really been political.  IN any event, I find you very reasonble and pragmatic.
