Who do we appreciate?
Published on November 25, 2005 By Dr Guy In Blogging

Well, for me it is Ted and Mason!  My oldest wanted an Amp.  Bass for you other folks!

Like I know an amp from a chimp?

Dont think so!

But they led me through to a decent and actually great deal!

2/4/6/8 Who DO I Appreciate?

Mason and Ted!  Thank you both!

After all, that is what today is about (or is that yesterday???)

And as a bass player, that's an important question to me.

Heh heh....you so set yourself up for this one. 'cause we're all over with the musicians......... Wow. This explains so much about you............

On the serious side, I firmly support my drummers, mostly because rock without drums quickly degenerates into folk music. Gotta stand by the rest of my rythm section. Besides, sub-humans need love too........

Careful I think you must have a short in your cord, it sounded like you're actually playing a guitar or something!

Serious too...I like a bassist I can follow and complement cooperatively. ('cause his mama won't!)

I had to laugh at the folk music thing. I answered an ad for a folk group wanting to add drums. They wanted to know how quiet I could play, or if I minded even just sitting there!

Found a Fender.  A little more than I planned to spend, but it is a fender! (I think that is good, right?)

I play a little guitar now and then.

Hehehe...I always wondered if a drummers rhythm would carry over to other...ahem...areas. So....does it?

This probably would go better over at MM's DOM Club post, but because you asked....
1. A drummer uses multiple limbs at once (ta dum crash!)
2. We do play the skins!
3, His sticking isn't bad either! (yow)
4. He keeps a pounding beat while artfully using his hands for accents!
5. The harder the beat the bigger the stick(s)!
6. He builds from a low rumble to a sustained climax!
7. A drummer plays softly when needed, and wails away when necessary!
8. A drummer works up quite a sweat while aiming to please!
9. A drummers rythm gets into your chest and rocks your soul!
10. Once you've played with a pro, everyone else is an amateur!

I got more!
