Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

On this day, one of the most hallowed throughout the world, what are we doing.  What are you doing?  What am I doing?  What should WE be doing? (This applies to all Anglo and West European people)

Today I am honoring the veterans.  Who placed themselves in Harms Way, so I could write this blog and not fear some gestapo or stalinist reprisals.  I honor them and thank them for what they sacraficed for me, and my family.  I honor them and step aside so they can preceed me in lines.

That I do this on other days is just my respect for them.  But today, they know it is for them.  As we all should.  Every blessed person.

But that is not the case.  Indeed, as we see in the linked story, some people use this for political statements AGAINST the veterans. They can have their opinions.  Opinions bought with the blood of those veterans.  They can demonstrate against this cause or that cause, with the right bought with the blood of Those veterans.

They  have all these rights, thanks to the blood of those veterans.  And they have the right to defile the day because of the sacrafices of those veterans.  But for the MSM to call the veterans "Protestors"?  Excuse me mr high and mighty jerk!  They are not protestors!  They are honorees!  And the real "Protestors" are the pitiful weak willed slugs that put up a protest ON THEIR DAY!

No, the "protestors" here are you MSM (The AP that could not even verify lies with THEIR OWN STAFF), and you slugs that dont realize that without them, you would have no freedom to act like jerks.\

I hope you are happy ruining THEIR day.  maybe you can Piss on their Charcoal at their next BBQ as well. After all, it is YOUR right, the one they fought to preserve for you (and in some cases fought to win for you).

Thanks for reminding me why I have no respect for your ilk.

Wrong!

It was a political statement made in a very peaceful (white flags) and altogether sanctioned and permitted way against the war in Iraq. Its a minor storm in a teacup at best. Hardly the moral travesty you're trying very hard to make it out to be.

How anyone could misconstrue a benevolent call for peace to be an attack on war veterans is beyond me.

Still, there is a time and place for such protests. For instance, I find flag-burning detestable and cannot equate it with freedom of speech--like receiving communion and then telling the celebrant to go fuck himself. Nor would advocates of flag-burning dare do so in a Veterans hall if they value their life.

WRONG!  There are 364 other days they could have used.  They used this one to demonstrate AGAINST those who bought their abiltity to do it with their own blood.

That is a graphic analogy, and kind of funny!  I would hope I never hear of that happening.
