Democrat Candidate for Virginia Governor
Published on November 3, 2005 By Dr Guy In Politics

Michael Schiavo has endorsed Tim Kaine, democrat, in Virginia's Gubernatorial race.  Schiavo, a resident of Florida, is not allowed to vote however.

Terri Schiavo did not endorse anyone and had no comment.

I'm not sure why Michael Schiavo feels the need to "endorse" anyone (particulary as a non-VA citizen). Seems a little strange to me.

That said, I have a funny feeling you, LW and I will not be voting for the same candidate on election day.

Is the assisted suicide/living will/feeding tube issue a hot-button issue in Virginia this election cycle?

Or is Michael feeling left out of the limelight?

Kilgore was here.

Hopefuly in a week.

I have already made my choice clear.  As soon as they branded Kaine, Warner II, I decided to vote for Kilgore.  I really dont have strong feelings for either, but that tipped the scales for me.

Michael is out of the limelight.  There really is no hot button issue, hence why the campaign has been so dull.

Really, cause when Kilgore starting going after Kaine's religious beliefs I was pretty much disgusted. Each to their own, though.

Actually that was fun!  He just slammed him for his stance on the death penalty.  Which given that Kaine is Catholic, I wonder why he supports abortion, and not the death penalty?  If it was really a religious thing, he would be against both.

Nice to see Michael endorsing something other than a check! ;~D

Being catholic, pro-choice and against the death penalty myself, I would argue that you are mistaken. The catholic church has flip flopped its position on when ensoulment occurs since it's formation. We've had this discussion before, so I won't bore you with the details again.

I think Kilgore summed up his campaign nicely when he refused (during the ODU debate) to limit his negative campaigning to 50%. When your entire platform is based on derailing the other guy rather than on your own policy, I'm just not interested.

Nothing like killing your wife, girlfriend, secretary, etc., to make you a voice for American Liberalism...

Shades, this can go a long way, but this is not the venue for it.  Let us leave it for another time.

That is Liberalism 101.  How to get rid of the evidence.
