Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

The Democrats dont like Samuel Alito, and they have already started a campaign to nit pick his nomination.  I am sure they are going to find a few things, other than he is not a mind numbed robot, to vote against him, and there is even now (before the ink is even dry) of a filibuster.  I hope they try the latter.

But one thing that cannot be said against Alito is that he is not qualified.  Haiving spent 19 years on the Federal Bench, and having been confimred to the second highest court level by a unanimous Senate vote (in a Democrat controlled senate), anyone who argues he is not qualified is just being stupid.

So of course Dean is saying just that.

"A lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court of the United States is too important to be sacrificed on the altar of short-term political gain. President Bush's nomination of Alito is not leadership, it is capitulation," said Dean.

Sacraficed?  It is not a sacrafice!  He is a Judge in the same vein that Roberts is.  Impeccable qualifications, and tenure.  That he is conservative is also a given, but that does not automatically disqualify you from the bench, at least not to any except the loony loopy luddite liberals.  If that indeed were the case, then the likes of Ruth Buzzi would never have had a chance!

It is one thingk for Joeschmoe to talk like a raving partisan and utter incomperhensible ravings.  It is quite another for the leader of a major party in the US to do so.  It makes people think twice about that party as being led by kooks and clowns.

While it may be unfortunate, the old Cliche is still true today: Birds of a feather, flock together. And the leader of the democrat flock is looking like a dodo, not an eagle.

Even tho I am a conservative, it would be nice if America really had a choice when it comes to elections.  As long as the loons maintain control of the democrats, that is just a pipedream.

My father would have said that you misspelled this word. He would have spelled it as "fluck" together!

Speaker 1: I came here for a good argument.
Speaker 2: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
1: An argument isn't just contradiction.
2: It can be.
1: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
2: No it isn't.
1: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
2: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
1: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
2: Yes it is!
1: No it isn't!

Has Dean been studying his rhetorical form with Monty Python?

I dont think he has the mental capacity to 'study' anything.
