Mais oui Madames et Monsiuers! Jean-Bernard Merimee, FORMER French ambassador to the UN, has been taken into custody in connection with the Oil for Food Scandal!

And that French looking ex-presidential candidate wanted us to look for France for Guidance in the world?

OK, so where is my cut? Hmmm? I am French. I am looking to Jean. I want my cut!

Damn, I only claim my French heritage when there is a scandal or something. Wait, I always claim it.

That's cause there is always a scandal. LOL

Ten French officials and business leaders - including a former adviser to former Interior Minister Charles Pasqua - are suspected of having received oil allocations as kickbacks from Saddam's regime.

It looks like he is just the Mousse on the éclair.

Mod is refering to Jacques Chirac, who was allegedly involved in some form of corrupt practices when he was Mayor of Paris. Apparently he is currently protected by immunity from investigation/prosecution while serving as President, but there is some talk of him being questioned once he leaves office.
