Damn! I hate it when we are hypocrites.

The latest - latest? Only! - Brouhaha is an ad by the republican. The wife of a slain police officer is complaining that if elected, the democrat will not enforce the death penalty against the killer of her husband. not just any killer mind you! But an Illegal immigrant drug dealer!

The Democrat counters with an ad! "while I personally oppose the death penalty, as Governor, I will uphold the law!"

Point, counter Point! Great!

Now the gotcha!

Independant (mostly left leaning) Person. If the democrat opposes killing the guilty, why is he in full support of killing the innocent? He is in full support of abortion.

Zing! Ouch! Damn! That stupid toe!

But hey! As Dr. Frankenstein would say.

"It's Alive! Alive! ALIVE!"

So much for the political (real not manufactured) news of 2005.

Hmmm... I wonder what Mr. Khaine could be thinking. I had someone (something Byce) call on a recorded message. Seems the local Dems are desperate to get the word out. And since Petersburg voted Democrat (98%, but that's also the Black/White ratio, too so ... ) they've basically decided that everyone needs to be nailed as dem.

Dont know about that, but my wife got a call for me from Kaine. They wanted me to pass out bumber stickers and such. I told her I was voting for the other guy.....what's his name.

Btw - I saw the ad last night. Nothing overly fancy. Rather simple set (old man sitting on a stool against a black background), but damn!! I think it's got the punch it has just because of that simplicity. Anything else would've distracted the viewer.

I don't like political ads (and I really don't like the couple weeks before an election because of them) but I'm almost interested in seeing Khaine's response to this one.

2 dyas before the election ,and about the only thing kaine is running is his response to that ad!
