Quotes from some of people about the Aftermath of the Hurricane:
"The police chief boasted that 7,000 more military, police and other law officers on the streets had made New Orleans 'probably the safest city in America right now.' "--Associated Press, Sept. 8
Uh, Genius, might it be more the fact that THERE ARE NO PEOPLE IN THE CITY?????
"Gulf Coast residents would have been better off if the United States had simply declared war on Louisiana and Mississippi. The victims would have been treated more humanely and their plight addressed with greater urgency."--Michele Jacklin, Hartford Courant, Sept. 7
Uh, Brainless. I think you did that in 1861? And if I remember correctly Grant and Sherman were anything but humane in their treatment of the survivors! Come to think of it, neither were the rest of the northerners of the time.
