A more fitting tribute to her son
Published on August 18, 2005 By Dr Guy In Current Events

While the nation's attention is focused on Crawford texas and the 3 ring circus that has sprung up there, a mother quietly buried her son killed recently in Iraq.  And to those who would demean what her son stood for and diminsh her loss, she had this to say:

"Honor me in this way,"

No candles.  No mad protestors.  No trinkets adorned with names of the fallen.  No demnads of nightline to give her an unopposed show to state her view.

Honor me in this way. One of the most beautiful statements I have ever heard.

She said she believed her son would have said:

"It has been with the greatest pride I have served ... fighting to preserve freedom."

Talk about contrast!

Talk about contrast!

I will hand it to CNN for running with a counter story.  At least they ran it.  I wonder if they would have done that in pre-blog days?

I wonder if Kathy Dyer is revelling in knowing "what Mickey Mouse must feel like"?

I too am glad the CNN was willing to run this story. Mrs. Dyer's tribute to her son is every bit as newsworthy as Cindy Sheehan's... Kathy Dyer probably won't become a household name because of it, but from reading the article, that's the way she apparently prefers it.

Thanks for posting it Dr. Guy.

Thanks for posting it Dr. Guy.

Just trying to provide some perspective to the ones using Cindy Sheehan.
