Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Wanna know why?
Published on July 31, 2005 By Dr Guy In Blogging

Several members of late have stated they are going or thinking of it.  I know JU has had its problems, and I have been frustrated by them as well.  But given the price and the response, I am not going to complain.  I will pay when and if it becomes a premium site. But for now, I am hanging around.

Why?  Because of the people here.  I dont agree with half, and agree with the other half most of the time.  But I have learned about a lot of things from them, that have made me a better person.  Made me think and question some things, and made me relive old scars.

I am not looking forward to anyone leaving, but considering I have seen 2 posts and a comment in the last 3 days of people threatening to, I decided to state what might be obvious.  I am staying.  Warts, bugs and all.

I hope everyone does, but to each his own.  And thank you Brad, Cordelia, Karma T-man and all for giving us a great place to blog.  And thanks for all your hard work.

I hope others pull in their horns and stick around as well.

To my surprise I've found that I also have become hooked on the 'community' (or should I say 'soap opera') aspect of JU.

Meanwhile, back at the office, Shovel is booking a felon while Island Gurl is planning a trip to London.  Dharma is sticking a belly out for all to see, and Texas is reveling in the fact that her husband is home on leave..........

This was important. Thanks for drawing it to attention. Irish voluntary collect system could answer that, at concerts they run around, who can gives, gives any amount, who cant cant. In a Rio de Janeiro bus, who is young enough to fit under the turnstile at the back door can pass conductor free, who is poor + grownup is allowed to symbolically make himself small enough to crawl underneath as well & do the same

A modified version of that at JU should they ever go pay, would be great!  Some cannot afford a pay for site.  And I would hate to lose anyone for that reason.

JU shouldn´t go pay only, could live with friendly annual e-mail reminder asking whether or how much I could donate or why not, might be too aggressive for others.

Baker Street, anyone who wants to boost his JU user level can already subscribe WC normal 20$ and rate and troll more on JU plus have an emergency door to JU even on weeks their site is down. Works fine for me already in the meantime, u help WC and they wont close u down now fast even if u only have articles and dont post much at all on ur WC site, they annually miss 2000 subscrips + your input spices up WCs variety

LW - You pretty much captured my attitude on blogging (or any hobby for that matter) perfectly... Do it as long as it's fun. If it stops being fun, walk away.

Hey Frankenbelly, is it itching yet?
Glad you are going to be around to educate us on Buddhism.

Hell yes it is!!! The steri strips all fell off and it's looking pretty ugly....all puckered and dimpled where he sutured under the skin.

I'm glad you're here to tell me about politics and...well, YOU.

I don't plan on 'going' anywhere, I've just been considering another hiatus. It's good for the soul, yanno, and when you aren't having as much fun as you used to, a little break (or a long one) can be a good thing.

I agree with that.  I am thinking of one as well, and will quiet my posting if I think I am getting stale or too thin skinned.
