For Revealing State Secrets

Actually, this is about Durbin (and Rockefeller and Wyden) and the fact they may have leaked the deatils of a CIA Black ops program.  But I know what some liberals are going to scream......

How can you Use Newsmax for a SOURCE!!!!!!!

So this is really a lesson for them on how to use a source that may be questionable.

First, examining the article, we see that the Justice Deparment has launched an investigation.  That caught my attention so I read it.  Now, I knew the first thing that would happen  is for someone to question the source.  But forget the right bias of the words for a moment and look at the facts.

The Ops was blown.  The above mentioned men had access to the Ops.  Someone Blew it.

Ok, that is all we really know.  So we should at least accept that, right?

Wrong.  For to the left, that means the article is suspect that they seem to indicate the 3 were about to be charged and convicted.

So I did what any internet savy person would do.  I googled it.  And Guess what?  Independant confirmation!

http://www.cndyorks.gn.apc.org/yspace/articles/new_us_spy_sat.htm

http://cshink.com/justice_asked_to_probe.htm

http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=7519

Ok, 3 more sources, but the last one could be suspect as it is right wing itself.  But what about the first one?  Ah, you see the first one is a left wing source to the left of Jane Fonda.  It does not talk about the investigation, just the Ops that was blown!  So that provides Proof the ops was blown, and someone blew it.

(BTW: there were over 200 links, I just posted 3 of the first 10).

So here you have a left wing site confirming the gist of the story from Newsmax.  And 2 other sites confirming that an investigation is underway.

So we have Mr. "troops are Nazis" now deciding what will and wont be leaked to the press.  Or so the investigation is being conducted to see if charges should be brought.

But that brings us to the last question for the ones that cannot separate slant from news.  Why are no MSM sites listed in the bibliography?

And the answer to that, if not obvious, will not be beleived.  However, actions speak louder than words, and again the actions of the MSM scream a lot louder than their faint denials.

very interesting indeed.

The Newsmax link seems to be broken, and the other links are older than I expected.

The topic is very hot and important to all of us. Abandonment of the responsibility and trust
placed in some leaders for the sake of political maneuvering - it is something I won't ignore
nor forget.

I'm guessing this issue will get some serious MSM coverage when it becomes too outrageous
to hide. One reason JU is a great place to visit: articles like this.

Where is the media outrage over this?

You like making Jokes, right?

This is funny in one sense -

I'm sure you know by now that the whole Rove thing is considered SERIOUS by certain bloggers, and Rove considered guilty of treason, primarily because the DOJ is conducting an investigation - "He must be fired NOW... the DOJ is SERIOUS about this."

By the same logic, there must be something to this Durbin business, since the DOJ is SERIOUS about this & has launched an investigation.

Oy.

On the other hand, it is deadly serious. If a Senator indeed had a hand in blowing a covert operation, then he's violated his oath and betrayed the country. I hope this does not pan out to be the case, as much as I dislike Durbin.

Actually, this is not unprecedented as Leahy was kicked off the Intelligence committee, not for the lack there of (altho that is evident), but for leaking confidential stuff.  And he was kicked off by his own party.  Durbin just had the wrong teacher.
