Iran has been an anathema to the western world since Jimmy "Lust in my heart" Carter sold the Shaw down the proverbial river.  Instead of easing him out with a gradual transition to a secular democracy, he dumped him on his ass.

The latest president is somewhat suspect.  is he a Terrorist?  Or not.  Well, one person thinks he is:

"As soon as I saw his picture in the paper, I knew that was the bastard," said retired Army Col. Charles Scott, 73, a former hostage who lives in Jonesboro, Ga.

Ok, so one person says he is.  And for the LLL left, that ie hearsay and besides, he is from a red state.  But the plot thickens!

"He was one of the top two or three leaders," Col. Scott said in a telephone interview. "The new president of Iran is a terrorist." . . .

Donald Sharer, a retired Navy captain who was for a time a cellmate of Col. Scott at the Evin prison in northern Tehran, remembered Mr. Ahmadinejad as "a hard-liner, a cruel individual."

"I know he was an interrogator," said Capt. Sharer, now 64 and living in Bedford, Iowa. He said he was personally questioned by Mr. Ahmadinejad on one occasion but does not recall the subject of the interrogation.

Col. Scott recalled an incident when Mr. Ahmadinejad berated a friendly Iranian guard who had allowed the two Americans to visit another U.S. hostage in a neighboring cell. Col. Scott, who understands Farsi, said Mr. Ahmadinejad told the guard, "You shouldn't let these pigs out of their cells."

Hmmm, now we have 5 total and that total is rising!  Iran is of course denying it just as they denied they could do anything during Peanut Carter's tenure to reign in the terrorist.  Even tho this clown was well known before the election (mayor of Tehran), no one said a word.  For Diplomacy sake.

And as the Taliban and Al Qaeda streamed over the border to Iran, no one said a word or only half hearted ones.

And as Iran developes Nukes, the EU whispers "Bad Boy" and the US waits for them to step forward (a pathetic wish I know) and take this nuke bull by the horns.

Yesterday, London was hit.  The French and Germans may still pussy foot with the Iranis.  But somehow I dont think London is going to let the mad Mullahs and Terrorists (yes terrorists) of Tehran take another step.

bin Laden and Zarquawi are not persian, they are Arabs.  but they just shot a heart shot into Iran, another Muslim country.  And with each arrow that flies, they kill another golden goose along with hundreds of innocent civilians.

iran and Nukes now?  Not on those people's dead bodies.  Not unless you want to buy futures in Irani Glass.

the original assertions he was one of the mob who hijacked the us embassy was based on a photograph. the cia announced a week ago he wasn't the man in the picture.

No, he was Khomeni's gofer.  You did not read the whole report I gather.

the shah came to power when we helped him overthrow a secular democracy.

WE didn't.  That was the Brits.  Get your facts straight.

of course iran is a terrorist state. that's the most amusing thing about dr guy's revelations here. like he's just now figuring that out?

No, what gave you that idea?  But liberals were shocked by Bush's 'Axis of Evil' speech.  So you are saying you agreed with his assessment?  Thank you for aat least agreeing with part of Bush's speech.  There is hope for you yet.

ariel sharon has a history of being terminally unreasonable. he's very a poor choice for the rational leader benchmark.

So what you are saying is that even tho he is willing to speak to the leaders of Muslim states, he is too unreasonable, and that we should oust a democratically (more so than any other nation in the Middle east) elected leader of a sovereign state that has not exported killing and terrorism outside of its borders?

Or are you saying the US should just beat up its allies, and let the terrorist off scott free?

Which is it?

The leaders of Iran would be more worried about cooties and all the "Jew" rubbing off on them, I think. Call me Mistah Marginalize, but that's my opinion of them.

Very hypocritical and kind of funny that kb is arguing himself in a corner.

why is the eu responsible for taking the bull by the horns?

Why is it the US responsible?  Are you advocating a unilateral invasion to stop them?  So you fully support the Iraq war and a coalition of 40 nations.  Or are you xenophobic and just hate foreigners?

while sharon is as dislikeable in his own unique way as bush, there are other reasons to snub him...one of them being the massacre he perpretrated just before his army left lebanon.

How many women and children were in that massacre?
