Hazmat teams called in!

I put this under humor cause it is so funny!  But it is true!

Snapple, trying to take the world record for the largest popcycle from the Netherlands, created a 25-foot-tall, 171/2-ton frozen Kiwi-Strawberry treat!  and then tried to unveil it in NY City.

Problem was, the thing melted, and sticky goo ran down the streets!  Ok, you got to ask why they did it on the first day of summer instead of in January?

But my favorite part was the image of the blob:

"What was unsettling was that the fluid just kept coming," Stuart Claxton of the Guinness Book of World Records told the Daily News. "It was quite a lot of fluid. On a hot day like this, you have to move fast."

Where is Steve McQueen when you need him!

For the whipper snappers, Steve McQueen was the hero of the original blob, not that cheesy remake!

I remember the original blob movie - I guess that really dates me or else just shows how much I love movies and television! I saw that report on GMA this morning. That was rather funny I thought. The thing was one giant melting goo! Talk about a sticky situation!

And no politics involved!  This one has to go on Ripley's as I want to see it so I can disbelieve it!

Did all the people in the park on No Carb diets lose consciousness from the permeation of carbs in the air? ;~D

I saw it on the news and thought it was hilarious too.

Hey their melting goo is made from the 'best stuff on earth'

I bet the Post's headline will say that NYC is now The Big Snapple.

The blob reference was funny. I was thinking Ghostbusters 2. Wasn't the goo in that movie pink also? Who you gonna call? Steve McQueen or Bill Murray.

I had not thought of GB 2, but that is a good  comparison as well!  Different age I guess.
