In another example of the stupidity of the democrats and their use of the filibuster to thwart the will of the majority, a little side note was recently brought up concerning Janice Rogers Brown. You see she was originally nominated in 2003, and came up for a vote the first time on November 14, 2003. It was of course Filibustered.
Now for the shot heard round foot, does anyone know who was governor of California on November 14, 2003? And who would have appointed her replacement if she had been allowed a vote?
If you guessed Grey Davis, you win a cookie!
But by Filibustering one of the most accomplished jurist in the land (According the ABA), they effectively guaranteed her replacement would be much more conservative, seeing that now it is Arnold Schwarzenegger who will appoint her replacement. Note the R in Ahnold.
Don't you just love it when the loony left leadership keeps committing political suicide?
