Yes, Zogby, no member of the VRWC, has published a poll that shows that at 52-40%, when the FACTS are explained to them, the American Public supports Bush's Social Security plan. According to Zogby:
"The thing that is compelling in this poll is that this is the response you get when you use a positive approach on Social Security reform,"
This simple statement does 2 things. It lays bare the lie of the left that the plan is not supported, and it lays bare the lies of the rest of the MainStream Media that they conduct unbiased polling.
In another statement that should be the biggest 'DUH' to all but the most brain dead liberals, Zogby finds:
"There are a large number of voters, especially those under 50, who don't think they are getting the best possible deal from Social Security," he said.
Most of this is not knew to most rational people. But what should be scary for the liberals is the following:
strongest support comes from younger voters under age 30, who embrace the idea by a margin of 66 percent to 23 percent.
They have already lost most voters, and that statement says they look like they are going to be losing even bigger in the future as the younger voters grow old, and the old voters die off. What FDR managed to do for the democrat party 70 years ago, Bush is reversing the tables on the democrats now.
They may (by a fluke of luck) win an election or 2 in the near term, but if the current demographic trend is not reversed, they are in for a very long drought. And the stupid part is, they can avoid it, but they show no signs of doing so.
