Non Citizens have more rights than Citizens
Published on May 20, 2005 By Dr Guy In Politics
In December 2003, Dean said this about bin Laden:

"I've resisted pronouncing a sentence before guilt is found," Dean said. "I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials. . . ."
But then just this month, Dean decided that if you are american, you dont have the same rights he would afford to Osama Bin Laden. Speaking of Delay:

"I think he's guilty . . . of taking trips paid for by lobbyists, and of campaign-finance violations during his manipulation of the Texas election process........I think Tom DeLay ought to go back to Houston, where he can serve his jail sentence."

Maybe we should give Dean a one way ticket to Tora Bora. Seems he thinks they have more rights out there than we do here in the states.

Dont expect the Republicans to pay for the ticket.  He is the best weapon they have against the democrats!

This is really typical of the left. They want rights for terrorists, but obsessively hate their fellow Americans. Pathetic.

Oh, I would not say all Americans.  After all, most of them still dont believe that Clinton was guilty (even tho he pled guilty) of Perjury!  Just ask them!

No, Dean makes me want to puke!  I can understand his Bin Laden statement.  But then to turn around and convict Delay with no trial?  That makes me want to puke!

Nearly all of the great ones survive. Delay stands on his feet regarding the issues of the day. Many people who may disagree with him see the need to attack him while he looks weak. With the GOP holding both houses and the white house Delay has nothing to worry about. Dean on the other hand, has his work cut out for him.

It would help if he did not suffer from hoof-n-mouth disease.

Once AGAIN, you are taking things out of context.

Asked whether he was rushing to judgment, the former Vermont governor said with a laugh, ''I got in trouble because I wouldn't convict Osama bin Laden. Maybe I've learned something.''

And once again I am not taking anything out of context.  He made both statements.  I did not do a hatchet job on them.  He said that OBL was innocent until proven Guilty, but that Delay was guilty until proven innocent.

What is not to understand about that?  He made the statements,  I did not 'infer' anything into his comments.  They say that on their own.

Putting in context does not purely mean not splicing speaches. It also means considering the situation, surroundings, and past events, such as the fact that he was lampooned for not saying bin Laden was absolutely guilty.

His lampooning has nothing to do with his hypocrisy in declaring a person who admitted his guilt, as innocent, and someone who has not done so, and indeed has not even been tried, as guilty.

He was ridiculed for saying someone was not guilty, who admitted his guilt. he is being lampooned now for doing just the opposite. He is many things, and stupid is one of them.
