Give me a break!

Ok, I can go for Airforce One.  And Marine One, but calling Bush's iPod "iPod One".  Aren't we going a little far with this?

I will admit it made me laugh when I read it, but then it got me to thinking.

Bush, in addition to listening to songs by Country and Western artists, most of whom did vote for him, also listens to artists who campaigned against him.

In addition, since he got an iPod and not a Dell product, he does not hold the politics of the CEO against a company as it is readily known that Steven Jobs is BIG Liberal (almost as bad as George Soros, just with a more level temperment).

In addition, it demonstrates that Bush looks for the best in everything, and does not support someone just because they are a conservative, or voted for him.

It is a 2 pronged lesson.  One, for far right conservatives to stop vilifying the snobs of hollywood.  Let them eat cake as it were.

Second, for the loony loopy luddites on the left.  You see?  Your President is not the child eating ogre you claim him to be.  He even supports some of your fellow liberals with his judgement and money.

I can see the far right taking a step back and re-evaluating their cries of favortism from hollywood (as that will probably never change anyway).  But some how, I dont see Dabe, Col Gene or Myrrander re-evaluating their positions one whit.  They will just create new conspiracies to explain his un biased actions.

Or there's the possibility that he just heard that the iPod is the best product on the market and didn't even consider the politics of those behind it, or the politics of the groups he listens to. He could be just like you and me where for the most part we couldn't care less what someone elses political stance is. Do I care if the manager at my local Verizon store is a Dem or Lib or child-eating satanist? Not really so long as it doesn't impact my service. Do I care that Steve Jobs is a flaming asshole who mistreats most of his employees? Nope, cause I love me my Powerbook and iPod, doesn't matter to me what the big cheese at Apple thinks.

I wish people would stop trying to politicize everything related to Bush. He's allowed to just be a normal guy from time to time, ya know?

Acckkk!  A Mac user!  Get the iodione!  Get the alcohol!  Call me a medic!  Disinfect the site!  Germs Germs Germs!  acckkk!

Just kidding, and you said it very well.  I doubt he thought of who the authors and makers voted for.  He did indeed go for the best.  That was the point I was trying to make.  Thank you for re-iterating it.
