Yea, you can dance on my grave.  For I am now going to say I think the law that then Governor W signed Sucks!

Yes this baby had no chance, and yes it is the same arguement.  Did they consent?  it is not the same arguement about torture however.

But I dont think the plug should have been pulled.  But that is because I am against abortion, pre and post partum!

I once saw a Mash episode where Hackeye, BJ and Houlihan fought to keep a saying soldier alive on Christmas day.  They knew it was hopeless, yet as BJ (I Think) said, "We dont want his kids to remember Christmas as the day their father died".

The baby was going to die.  WHy did the jerks have to choose easter to do it?

Ok, you outed me.  I dont agree with it as I do have a DS nephew and lost a nephew due to a tragic accident.

But it still aint right.  I hope W sees that as he could not have anticipated it when he signed the law.  Were we all solomans.

That's what I like about us. We are MAN enough to admit when we disagree with the leaders of "our side."

Dr Guy.....Sun Hudson died on March 15th, moments after being removed from the respirator. Easter is tomorrow, March 27th, so they didn't unplug him on Easter, but a full 12 days before, a 'respectable' gap in time, I believe. I mean, sure, they might have waited till after Easter, but then it would have been close to Mother's day, (even worse, eh?) and if they waited 'till after Mother's day it would have been too close to the 4th of July or Aunt Mabel's birthday or whatever.

There is nothing sinister about the date, but then any date would have been bad. It may have been the 15th (my daughter's birthday), but it still was the season of hope.

And yet you are right, any date would have been bad. Still, I cannot in good conscious think it was ok. Like I say, I was outed. He had no living will and his nearest relative, his mother, sure did not consent. My Heart goes out to that woman, as hopeless as the situation was.

Strange in a way, I guess the death merchants feasting on the iminent death of Schiavo are now on W's side. At least I am still on my side.
