Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
But Democrats sure whine a lot!

In the US Senate, altho the 'nuclear option' has been discussed, no formal motion to invoke it has occurred, and indeed no cause has yet been invoked to even try it.

Yet, in a pre-emptive strike (I thought the democrats blasted Bush for pre-emptive strikes - go figure!), Senator 'Baby Huey' Reid has said the democrats will slow the pace of the senate down to a crawl. Slow it down? Hell Shut it down for all the good it does!

[aside]Outside of voting on Judicial and executive nominees, the only other thing the senate seems capable of doing is raising taxes and passing nanny laws[/aside]

But shutting down the senate is a big issue to the powers that be in washington simply because it would tend to hamper politicians doing what they get paid to do {nothing?}.  And it would tend to muck up the budget process.

So while he can rant and rave, and a growing number of Nevadans are considering a recall, the simple fact is that all the republicans are seeking is a simple yea or nay vote on all judicial nominees, as stated in the constitution.

And for seeking that, the republicans have been called nazis (By Klegle Byrd), and the democrat leadership is now threatening to shut down the senate.  Too bad they cxannot remember the 'tyranny' of their own majorityship in 76, 78 and 79 when Klegle Byrd did just that, and not even with a vote, but with a whim (changed the rules of the senate).  Too bad that Republicans have never not allowed a vote on a judicial nominee (just delayed it).  Too bad that the solution is so simple that of course the democrat idiots in the senate cant see it for their own prejudice and hatred (In Ted Kennedy's case, it is probably the bottom of the cocktail glass).

No, they rail and rant and accomplish nothing, as that is their stated goal.  Do they even realize how stupid they look to the average (not left or right wings) American?

Probably not.  That would require some intelligence.
