Yes, it appears sad and true. The Campaign Fincance reform that stifled the PAC community is coming to a Blog near you.
It appears what the founding fathers deemed of the utmost importance, so important that it was the first amendment, is now being relegated to the dust bin of political correctness and stupidity. Free Speech, as we know it, is going to be a thing of the past unless Congress acts to rewrite their precious (and impotent) campaign finance reform law. It will be illegal to quote your candidates messages or link to their sites 90 days before an election.
Is there anyone out there that thinks this is a good law? That this is good news? I think this idiocy may be one that will act to unify liberals and conservatives (In the US, Sorry Aussies, Cannuck, and Brits) in one overwhelming condemnation of the law, and the politicians (of both strips) in general.
Ben Franklin was right. We just lost our freedom, and it was trampled by none other than our leaders in Washington, and a Judge that owns too much Microsoft stock.
What a complete farce! It would be funny if it was not so horrible.
