Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Do Unto others

While the above referenced story is about Georgia, the scenerio has been occurring in many states of late.  It happened 5 years ago in Virginia and just last year in Texas. It has happened in other states as well over the years.

Simply put, it is called pay back.  Once the democrats ruled the south (thanks to Lincoln and those wascally republicans 150 years ago).  WHile they were mostly conservative, they did toe the party line in most matters procedural and so they carved up state after state to ensure a majority of their fellow law makers would be elected to congress.

But the segregationists of the past have given way to the conservatives of the present, and the conservatives are Republican.  Now that the Republicans have gained control of state legislatures, they are doing their own carving, and for the same purpose.  And the democrats are crying fowl.

Where were these cries of outrage when the democrats did it?  Where were the cries of outrage when the democrats carved up the capital city and surrounding countines of Virginia into not 1 (as had been), not 2, not 3, but 5 different house seats?  Splitting neighborhoods and neighbors for the sole purpose of maintaining their majority?

I shed no tears for this supposed outrage.  The time to show compassion is when you control the game, not when you are relegated to minority status.  If they were sincere about their alleged outrage, they would have stopped the rape of the states back when they had power.  instead they ignored the please of citizens to do the right thing and sliced and diced to their hearts content.

Now they are reaping what they have sown.  They did unto others as others are doing onto them. They have no one to blame but themselves.
