Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

The House, by a large margin (not only Republicans) just voted to repeal Obamacare.  Reid of the Senate promises to block the repeal, even though his state is one of now 27 states that have sued to block the law (or the worst parts of it).  The most interesting aspect of the list is who is not there.

First, the states not there are those that are running the biggest Deficits - California, New York, Illinois.

Second, with the exception of Maine and Washington, no New England or West Coast states are on the list.  Indeed, throw in New Jersey and Hawaii and you basically have the solid blue states.  All the rest are purple or red.

The complete list is:

Alabama
Alaska
Arizona
Colorado
Florida
Georgia
Idaho
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Louisiana
Maine
Michigan
Mississippi
Nebraska
Nevada
North Dakota
Ohio
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
South Dakota
Texas
Utah
Virginia
Washington
Wisconsin
Wyoming

McConnel (sp) sounded like a serious senator today...could there be hope?

I agree with your assessment, and it is sounding promising.  What I understand, and I hope others realize, is that it only takes a moment to wreck a train, but a long time to repair it.  They are not going to fix (repeal) Obamacare over night nor get the economy going when you have an idiot like Reid and a dummy like Obama opposing you.

And people wonder why I'm not a Democrat being Hispanic and not being rich. God forbid Democrats fight because they believe it's the right thing and not because of party lines. One thing I will never understand is how his State is suing against the bill yet he stands firmly in favor of it and did not lose his seat or is not scared to lose it. It simply amazes me.

Don't you mean 27 of all 57 states?

He ran a very effective, albeit dirty, campaign.  But you make a good point.  Many of the pundits (especially the press) are slamming the republicans for voting to repeal Obamacare when it has no chance with Obama in office.  They simply fail to understand that doing the right thing is what it is all about.  Not the most expedient, not the easiest.  But what they were elected to do.

I am sure he is going to argue that the 27 are less than a majority.

Then maybe you should learn something about politics instead of believing all the pundits and maybe just maybe you will understand why instead of being amazed.

Sometimes it is just more fun to be amazed.

No...the fun comes out of being amused not amazed. The more you learn about the political process the more amused you become as you see how hypocritical both sides are and how outrageous the spin is from all the pundits.

For the political junkie, yes.  But for those less inclined to follow the body politics, amazed is the word of the day.  As for the junkie, amused is not a word I would use (perhaps just clouded by experience).  Disgusted would be more appropriate.
