He may as well give money, he actively campaigns on air for the left. Besides does anyone believe he is a journalist? A commentator perhaps.

I took to feeling sorry for Olby. He is so filled with anger and hate I hope he can be helped.

It would make a great movie: "Scanners - The Olbermann Chronicles". The whole town gets covered in blood when his head explodes.

I view the whole thing through a prism of sadness for what once was.  ESPN with Boomer, Olby, Kilborn... they were so, simply, awesome and so much fun to watch.  I loved Olby's rants on sports topics, almost as good as Jim Rome's best at times, which never contained (or needed) the sanctimonious self-righteousness we've come to know since.

His shtick just doesn't translate to serious/mundane matters like politics, where a certain amount of respect makes all the difference.  When I watched him on Countdown, I could enjoy the stylistic touches (somewhat reminiscent of his ESPN days) but not the content, and certainly not the disrespect he showed to so many.  That his show was one of the more highly rated of his network reflected its circus value as much as its content, and the fact that O'Donnell & Shultz were so much worse, at least in my opinion.

Commentator?  Nope.  Just a shill for the talking points he regurgitates.  His only original material is hate.

I am sure he was one of the few that found the AGW ad by 10-10 to be funny.

I do not recall him on ESPN (but who could not miss Boomer?).  However, hate is not born over night.  It seems that slamming  athletes was just not lucrative enough.  So just slam those you cannot understand?

He is a sad pathetic man, who unfortunately has a heavy medium to spread his hate from.  Too bad it was not a permanent vacation.

Back to ESPN:  Kilborn was my favorite, on Sports Center for 4 years 93-97.  He was the original host of The Daily Show after leaving ESPN, and absolutely killer.  Funnier than Stewart for my money.  He took over Tom Snyder's gig on The Late Show for awhile after that and then sort of disappeared.  I can only assume some personal issues got in the way of greater success, 'cause he was phenomenal.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Not really funny, just sad.  Sad they are so ignorant and blinded by their own hatred.  Madcow is kind of funny (where Olby is just hateful).
