Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Louder than in years past

Recently, Little_Whip posted an article about a conversatjon she had with a Kerry Surporter. She did not solicit the conversation, it just kind of happened.

Well, Sunday something similar happened to me. I had gone to Hardee's to grab some lunch for my wife and I, and was just waiting for the order to come. My Wife was working on the computer, and I was waiting for my beloved Raiders (sob!) to come on. The lady taking my order had taken my money, and was just waitin gto the burgers to come up. So she decided to tell me she was not voting for Kerry, and he scared her.

Now I do not know what prompted this epiphany as I was not earing any political slogans, and there are no bumper stickers on my truck. And the radio was tuned to the NFL game of the week (I think it was Philly vs Balt). But I did talk to her for a few minutes and basically, I guess, validated her belief that I was a Bush Supporter as well.

But in all the years I have been voting, I have never had anyone come up to me out of the blue and basically engage me in a conversation on who their candidate was! It kind of surprised me. But it did pass the time.

Whoever wins tomorrow, one thing is for certain. This election has energized a lot of people to vote, and the base of each candidate is solid. Or I should say that the Bush base is pro Bush, and the Kerry base is anti Bush, not pro Kerry.

After my order was done, I thanked the lady and drove off. Promising to vote Tuesday.

And for the record, the order was perfect, with no mistakes. Which is not the case half the time I go through a drive through.
