Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
What happened to the party of Compassion?

While it is undeniable that there are many good. well intentioned people on both sides of this election, there appears to be a disturbing trend developing.

Over the last month we have been treated (and I use that word sarcastically) to incident after incident of hate and intolerance by one side of this national debate. Shots fired into Campaign headquarters. Houses vandalized and Nazi Swatikas set ablaze on lawns of supporters of one of the candidates. Peaceful protesters set upon and beaten for demonstrating for their candidate. Children abused and campaign signs ripped up by those who do not agree with the message.

And this is merely the most hateful and inflamaatory. Not to mention the daily occarances of cars being keyed, windows broken, obscenities yelled. For what? Whatever happened to the concept of free speech?

Apparently only one side feels the need or obligation to practice it. WHile it is clear that the one side practicing intolerance is also the one who says it is all inclusive, it is equally apparent that they brook no dissent, even within their own ranks.

I have been around elections for over 36 years, voted in the last 7, and I have never seen the level of violence as has been witnessed this year. But in looking at the violence and hate, I see the root cause, and I lay the blame squarely at the feet of Kerry and Edwards.

For it is they who are running on the hate for Bush and feeding it. They nourish it as they see that is the only way they can get elected. And once you have let the hate genie out of the bottle, you have lost control of it. You no longer control the hate, the hate takes on a life of its own.

The democrats could have stopped this long ago. But they failed to offer anything or any reason to be elected, other than hate. And now that it is their sole remaining platform, they cannot try to re-bottle the genie.

It will get worse before it is over. I hope those with the mob mentality, and are practicing these hate tactics wise up and step back and realize that they have become what they hate. They are carictures of the evil they alledge of the other side. They have become the evil now.

And in doing so, they have already lost the race. For you cannot govern through hatred, at least not for long. And when you try, you only destroy those you truly love.
