Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Published on February 7, 2008 By Dr Guy In Politics

With the "suspension" of his campaign, Romney has all but conceded the Republican nomination to McCain.  Many on the right side of the spectrum, are howling as they cannot stand or support McCain, and so for a bit, the debate will shift on what they will do.

Which will just be a misdirection by the MSM since what they (the non-McCain supporters) will do is not going to matter for 9 more months.

What is going to happen in the here and now, is that the cat fight over on the democrat side is going to get a whole lot nastier!  WHy?  Many of the remaining states have open primaries, and even for those that do not, now there is no reason for the independants to vote in the Republican primary, so they can now vote in the democrat one.

And those votes are all up for grabs!  Up to Iowa, this election season has been long and most boring.  Since Iowa, things have gotten fun.  Now they are going to get down right entertaining.

Pass the popcorn and hold onto your wallets!  The show is about to begin!

do you think the bi in bipartisanship is similar to the bi in bias?

Some sure do.

That's actually one of the reasons people are so ticked at the republicans, because all they have been making too many comprimises.

And at McCain.

Obama the Democrat, Hillary the Democrat or McCain the Democrat... what's the difference?Would you have voted for McCain as Kerry's running mate?

I'm not interested in the party name, if a Democrat wants to enforce illegal immigration, shrink the govt., reduce spending, especially on social entitlement programs and pork, help keep the govt. hands out of my pocket, expand capital punishment, and aggressively pursue the enemies of the USA while upholding my constitutional rights (i.e. 2nd amendment), I would definitely consider that candidate....know any Dem's that fit the bill?

I don’t want socialized health care, I pay for myself and my family, don’t care to pay for anyone else’s. I say help the poor, but with conditions and a limit. Don’t reward welfare recipients for having babies, for some it’s a career. Work for that benefit in some fashion, menial work is fine as long as it is honest work. Make the person want to get a better job, if not cut the cord, too many are happy being poor. There the ones not paying taxes...is that fair?

Abortion rights are not a big concern for me, however I do thing many on the very far left and a few on very far right deserve a retro-active abortion (sorry right wing propaganda doesn't buzz in my ear as annoyingly as left wing propaganda does).

Republicans and Independents in the remaining states should vote for Hillary because it would probably be much tougher to beat Obama.

Dr Guy thanks. Read so much of your stuff, it feels like I know you already. I've actually been popping in and out of JoeUser for a few years now. I don't write articles (never seem to have the time), but I try to read as many of the featured posts as possible and reply if I’m so inclined. There are plenty of talented (or at least opinionated) people here to keep me entertained and informed.

Anthony R- I think you hit the nail on the head. Republicans will have a much easier time with Hillary in November, vice Obama. (Most) People like surprises and that's want some may find appealing with Obama. Hillary is just Bill in a dress, been there done that type of thing, no matter how many times she says "change".

This is true.  But I dont want even the possibility of Hillary getting it.  If she is not the nominee, that worry is gone.

Talent is for those you agree with.

j/k  Actually some of the more liberal writers are very talented and I like reading them and debating with them.  With conservatives it gets kind of monotonous if you are always agreeing, but I do read them, even if I dont have much to add at times.
