Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.
Do as I say, not as I do

Al Gore is garnering praises for making his home Global Warming friendlier. Note, not "friendly" but friendlier.  So now, instead of using 10 times the energy that ma and Pa America use (as evil and wasteful as THEY are), he is only using about 7 times the energy.  And this while the polar bears die of starvation, drown and otherwise go extinct, and he jets to all corners of the earth to pick up faux awards for his "feelings".

And is this going to make Al Gore more Eco-friendly?  Hardly.  His energy foot print is not going down, and indeed, going up!  But he goes to sleep at night with the sweet dreams of carbon offsets (which he owns a piece of the action of) dancing in his head.

And people wonder why he is mocked and ridiculed?  If the world was ending because I was going to push a switch, you can be damn sure I would not push that switch!  But Al Gore is going to push that switch with one finger, while fanning the planet with the other nine (his offsets).  And think "What a good boy am I".

Unfortunately, if Al Gore is not lying to us (open for debate), and the issue of Global Warming is real and man made (again open for debate), then we all should reduce our pollution and not just transfer it from the have nots to the haves.  For, as we have been told, it is cumulative, and any additional output of pollution is harmful, and who does it matters not.

With his latest escapades, that are winning him praise and accolades from the brain dead media, Al Gore is trying to pretend that once the gun is fired, and the bullet has left the barrel, he can now suck it back in by saying "Do over".

That is nice for a game in a school yard, but life does not work that way.  At least not real life.  The life that Al Gore and his disciples are leading is another matter.  For reality, and truth, have little to do with their life.

Aren't they advocating for a cap and trade system?  It worked for SO2 why not CO2?  SO2 reacts with water to form H2SO4...sulfuric acid and with that comes acid rain.  That's been declining and pH levels are on the rise(i.e. becoming less acidic)

Just a thought.

Well Dr. Guy,

I agree, this is an entirely valid point you make. AG should walk the walk.

What do you bet that Bush's home in Crawford is still more "eco friendly" than Gore's, even after his "friendlier" renovations.

"How can we fool them today" is the only rule Gore lives by... Clinton Inc. trained him well.

A cap and trade system is just a way to salve the conscience, not resolve the problem.  if CO2 is a problem (as is SO2), then REDUCING it is the answer.  But having you reduce your output so I can maintain or increase mine is just buying Indulcgences.  You have not addressed the cause of the problem at all, only bought your way out of accountability (to some - not to others).  If we are indeed facing a crises, then ALL of us, not just the poor that cannot buy indulgences, need to cut back.  Gore has shown that he would rather buy indulgences and let the poor suffer since they do not have the money to do so.

Thank you.  We can agree on some things.

No bet.  As the piece even states:

and a building-industry group has praised the house as one of the nation's most environmentally friendly.

Which means that as long as 50% + 1 are less friendly, the statement is true.  And given the puff piece, the "group" is probably another Al Gore front.  After all, the piece is just a PR sheet handed to the press.  No meat, and lots of glowing accolades.

Awe true. Pretty much like my favorite "statistic", "50% of college graduates graduated in the bottom half of their class". ;~D
