The headlines today blared: Massive deaths in another Terrorist Attack on the US.  The originator was Pat Robertson.  And CNN and Fox dutifully carried the news.  And the local idiot of a talking head is dedicating an hour or 2 to rant about "Who listens to him?".  Well for one, the idiot talking head.

For another a couple of Internet News Services.  For a third?  Anyone else you can think of?  Simply put, Pat Robertson has been a caricature for the last oh, 10 years or so.  So who really listens to him?  Well, some Evangelical Christians.  Anyone else?  Not since he prayed away Gloria (but failed to do same with Isabel).

Like Cindy Sheehan (only less acidic), Robertson is a clown, buffoon, scare monger or whatever you can think of.  But he is not a voice of God (and indeed God may talk to him, after all, who am I to question God), but I don't think he is worth listening to.  Yet more so than some conservative Christians, apparently the MSM and some brain dead talk show hosts do.  And then the brain dead rant about his ravings!  And point out how wrong they have been!

Excuse me?  Mr. Brain Dead Talk show host, the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.  It seems to me you are feeding Pat Robertson's ego moreso than any amount of "Being Right" could bring him.  Why rant about an inconsequential?  Instead by ranting you elevate him to the stature of Guru - that you just happen to disagree with.

I read the story this morning.  And did not even think to blog about it.  Until Mr. Brain Dead Radio Talk Show host decided to make him news and renew his prestige.
