Ok, this can apply to both parties.  As the Republicans are having a field day with kerry latest trashing of the military (he has a history of it) http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2006/11/02/kerrys_72_army_comments_mirror_latest/

Plus his Senate testimony.  It was a great October surprise.  But He is not running for office this year (although he is an elected official).

Now the Democrats are doing it too!  But who are they running against?  Some say Bush (down Hauptman Klink), some say Foley, some say Cheney, and some say Rove.  And to a degree all are right.

But the latest boogey man of the left is not an elected official, and yet has been mentioned more times in the news recently than any elected official!  It is Rush Limbaugh!  And the latest foot in mouth disease?  Barak Obama!

Now Barak is a much more eloquent, and intelligent speaker than Kerry.  Did he call the troops stupid?  No. Did he say that they were failures?  No.

But he did say that those who listen to Limbaugh are being duped!  "Well gorleee senator!  can ya hep me tie my shoes!"

Last I heard, Rush was running for no office, has never been elected, and is not an official in any party.  But he seems to bring out the atheletes tongue in a lot of frothing at the mouth politicians!

I guess when you can not run "for something", you have to run against boogey men, who have no control over the laws of the land.  But hey!  beating up on straw men is not hazardous to your health!  They cant fight back, now can they?

Brrrrrappp! Barak!

I think it's hilarious that so many liberals claim to champion "free speech", the "common man" and the disabled are working so hard to shut Rush up.  I mean, he is merely a radio guy who remembers what it was like to make less than $20,000/year, and never let his disability drag him down.

But then again, since liberalism doesn't give a crap about anyone they don't deem worthy of their pity, I fully understand why Rush Limbaugh has become their enemy.

In a nutshell - talk about any but the important issues.
I listen to Rush - he's farther to the right than I am, but he makes some good points.
I think some of his stuff is funny.

I dont.  It is like they are running against a windmill.  The New Don Quixotes?

AHA!  I think you figured it out!  They are the party of doom and gloom, so they have to run against anything that makes you smile!
