Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

IN a rather starting revelation, some recently declassified KGB papers show that Ted Kennedy worked to subvert the US Government back in 1980.  For those too young, or poor on math, that was not during the Reagan or Nixon years.  Nope, the president at that time was Jimmy Carter!

Now the US (indeed all countries) catch spies all the time.  And for Tom Clancy Fans, who can forget The Cardinal in the Kremlin?  But for a duly elected member of the governing body of the US, one who aspired to run the whole shooting match, to be undermining his own government goes way beyond politics, and if it is not Treason, it should be.  This is a man with access to some of the most tightly held secrets of the US trying to undermine a sitting president during a crises!

For years, we have known that Kennedy was a drunk and killer.  Now we can add traitor to the list.  This makes John Kerry's escapades with the North Vietnamese pale in comparison.  Yet I doubt it will cause any ripple in the political fabric of this country, and indeed, I would bet the morons in Massachuttes re-elect him to a new term when he runs again.  They seem to be in love with his name, which was held by many fine men, until Ted came along.

I wonder where the Mainstream Media is in calling for his resignation?  Probably hiding behind their hypocrasy.

I'd really like to know what kind of country people like Kennedy want. Do they want communism here? These people are pathetic, and just another reason not to vote for democrats.

They dont care anything about the country, just power.  In that they are like the despotic rulers of communist countries.

It's simple.  People like Kennedy want a country where everyone looks to people like themselves for everything.  They want a world where everyone is equal, with them being more equal than everyone else.

The problem with political jokes is they get elected.

where everyone is equal, with them being more equal than everyone else.

Just like Napolean and Snowball.

Very true!

So we can add Treason to his list of crimes... apparently being a drunk and a murderer weren't enough.

Apparently.

So when's the trial? Maybe it can be finished in time for him to swing next to Saddam.

some recently declassified KGB papers show that Ted Kennedy worked to subvert the US Government back in 1980.

recently declassified? says nothin of the sort in the article to which you've linked.

they weren't originals nor even copies.

Prior to his defection, Mitrokhin made meticulous copies of KGB documents by hand, explained Romerstein, who headed the U.S. government's Office to Counter Soviet Disinformation and Active Measures during the 1980s.

(i happen to have some of those btw.

on several occasions drguy offers to send viagra to breshnev during the height of the cold war. in a very poignant passage (all of which i meticulously copied by hand mind you) drguy warns leonid and other members of the politboro not to triple the dosage cuz it may cause priapism, or worse, (in his own words) 'if an erection lasts more than four hours peniskovitch may become increasingly swollen andropov'.)

but whattaya expect from a guy who waited til 92 to defect?

he went to the brits only after the cia decided he wasn't credible.

wikipedia notes:

According to the American Historical Review (106:2, April 2001):

"Mitrokhin was a self-described loner with increasingly anti-Soviet views . . . Maybe such a potentially dubious type (in KGB terms) really was able freely to transcribe thousands of documents, smuggle them out of KGB premises, hide them under his bed, transfer them to his country house, bury them in milk cans, make multiple visits to British embassies abroad, escape to Britain, and then return to Russia, and carry the voluminous work to the west, all without detection by the KGB . . . It may all be true. But how do we know?"

i guess cuz all yall true patriots are so willing to take the word of a real traitor who--despite claiming his reaction to learning of the soviet repression of people under its control was: "I could not believe such evil. It was all planned, prepared, thought out in advance. It was a terrible shock when I read things."--conveniently continued to remain in his position for nearly 40 years.

i also have some meticulous handwritten copies of letters between island dog and usama bin laden btw. i made them just yesterday.

As for beleiving them?  Sure, we can also beleive that the USSR never wanted world domination.  We have only the word of a soviet traitor to believe it, right?  Sure, you can make up anything you want.  However, the Intelligent agencies of both GB and the US usually indpendently verify this stuff before they put it into the "fact" category.  So beleive what you will, as nothing anyone "says" regardless of "who" they are is going to get you to believe anything bad about a drunk killer who has been known to run from the law (but again that was only the word of the arresting officer), and lie through his teeth when it suited him (but that is just the word of others against his).

As for the Viagra, that is a bit hard to swallow (no pun intented) since it did not come out until after the cold war.  But facts are something you are in short supply of.

i guess you not only missed the andropov (say it out loud) pun, but also the part where the cia decided he wasn't verifiable...which is how he wound up going to britain.
