Is Mark Stark For real?
Published on November 1, 2006 By Dr Guy In Politics

The democrats are always crying "october Surprise", yet in the 26 years they have been bleating that, there has been no Republican ones, just a bunch of lame democrat ones.  But this year, we have some late ones.  November surprises!  And where did they come from?

Well the best and most deadly is from John Kerry.  Cheney made him do it! (just ask any loon on the left).  Oh, he is bobbing and weaving, and except for some die hard democrats, and loons on the left, no one is trying to even begin to defend him!  The looniest? Dean?  his defense is arsenic! Trying to kill the beast.  The rest of the leadership has left the building! (except for the loons).  And over the next 6 days, Kerry is going to be campaigning for the Republican of your choice!  best Surprise that the democrats have pulled yet.  Or was it the wascally wepublicans?

next on the list, is the latest stunt of Jim Webb.  Planting a stooge (a stupid one at that) at an Allen Campaign rally and then THREATENING not one, but 2 senators with his stupidity.  And his defense? "they stopped me!".  A supposed Marine veteran, and a law student at UVA (If I was UVA I would kick him out for his ignorance), he tried to avow that sealed divorce records are a matter of public record!  Yep!  A real ignoramous!

If that was all, ok, a loon let it go.  BUT!  Within 1/2 hour of his stunt he had emailed hundreds of media outlets with his non-story!  Since he was subdued, and then taken into custody (no charges filed, but he tried to file some), how could he do that? because he was a stunt!  Although the email went out under his name, there is no way he sent it (unless it was pre-written).  So that leaves his handlers.

Ok, I dont know who they are.  But, the people here (other than the kool aid drinkers) are already wondering why Webb planted him after the Macaca plant.  No, we are not talking mis-direction.  We are talking plant.  As in Webb felt the heat from his misogony writings, and felt he had to deflect it.  And here he was actually gaining.

But then when was the last time a democrat actually ran on their own record (Webb is running on not being Bush)?

If Webb had at least been quiet, he might have walked away with a big upset.  He still may.  But it looks like he is doing a John Kerry and snatching defeat from the jaws of Victory.  Why?  because he is a democrat.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Republicans are simply seeking any target of opportunity passing by..

God knows they need some..

Considering their Gun-nut electoral base, they will be trigger-happy...

You forgot - it was that sneaky Carl Rove that made Cheney make Kerry say it.
Kerry an excellent example of what is wrong with the Dems.
Lots of jaw-flapping and no personal respondsibility.

Cheney made him do it!

As feisty_in_ohio said, it was a Karl Rove plot. Any Democrat worth his salt knows that!

Thank you for replying.  However, I fail to see how it relates.  Perhaps you can bring the comment together with the article?

Ah, yes!  Rove has been so quiet, I had forgotten about him.

The whole thing about what Kerry said. I mean, I watched U.S. news for about 3 hours since Kerry stumbled, and that's the #1 topic from the Republicans.

Everything someone will say or do, while he is part of the Democractic party, will be underlined and screamed about. the Kerry-fault is just an example of it. the GOP simply act as scavenger, using their opponent's fault rather than showing in non-populist terms what they have done good.

This forum is acting on the same basis. Everytime someone says arguments about what the Republican administrations have done wrong, with point A, point B, point C, point D, point E, everybody will jump at the mistake I have done at point B, totally ignoring the other 4 points.

You don't even want to argue on this forum, you just want to bitch each other's face. I try to make constructive arguments once and then, trying to reason with both sides (some Dems aren't better!), but I am shot down everytime by underlining the sentence I have said bad, while ignoring the 30 others that were rights.

Not always, and thank you for clarifying your orignal response. I do agree. The republicans are using this as a campaign theme (I guess by mentioning Kerry it made it part of this article). But that is hardly unique to the republicans. Who was the first senator that demanded Hastert resign over the Foley thing? Why chould Hastert resign? Did Tip O'neil resign over the studds scandal?

Besides, this is not an issue article. It was one on dirty tricks, so yes, anything goes. We can debate whether the republicans have issues, or are running on them, but the point of this article was to show how sometimes dirty tricks, can backfire.

And no, this is not a "holier than thou" as I know they all do it. But after being the recipient of so many, I am smiling that Allen turned this one back on the 'angelic' Webb.
