Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Several pundits on the right have been joking (or perhaps not) of how should the democrats lose, they will yell "Fraud" and "Disenfranchisement".  Basically they will say that the election was stolen.  While not many doubt that is a distinct possibility given their behavior in the 2000 and 2004 elections, at least in those years, they waited to lose to look for the snipes.  Never found, but you cant keep a good conspiracy theory down.

Well, I guess this year they are too impatient to wait to see whether the democrats win or lose.  No, the kook fringe of the left is coming out early (must be the moon cycle) and have already decided that the lack of panic on the part of the President is due to them having already sewn up the election through fraud.  Their "proof"?  Simple.  Their paranoia and inability to understand that America is not a nation of 300 million mini democrat bots.

I laughed when I first heard that the democrats were planning on usurping the electorate via the courts.  But when the lawyers started getting hired, I figured that it was just being safe, rather than sorry.  But now comes the wife of Norman leer in the Puffington Ghost to basically say, the election is over, and the republicans, more precisely Rove, Cheney and Bush, have already stolen it.

Here are some questions: Are these guys simply narcissistic idiots Rove-ing around in some never-never land bubble or do they know something we don't? Have they planned a grab bag nose punch of an October/November surprise? Or have Diebold, ES&S, and local state secretaries assured them that they will do "whatever it takes" to get a Republican Congress elected again? . . .

So I guess all the democrats can stay home.  Your 'feerless leaders' have already ceded the actual voting to the republicans, and are now just going to fight it in the courts.  But to make it look good, the republicans need to vote, just so that someone does.  Even tho it will be a waste of time.

The courts will decide.  The Democrats have decreed it.  So let it be written, so let it be done.

The thing is, at least here in Wisconsin, not ONE of the methods of voter fraud have been banned, so I see no reason to think that King Doyle's criminals won't be out in force, lying, cheating and raping the system any way they can.  And why not?  They have King Doyle's gurantee that no one will ever be charged for election related crimes as long as his festering butt sits in the thrown in Madison.

talk about trying to cover all the bases, if they win, it's because the country wants a change. if they lose it's because the right cheated.

Bu-bu-bu-but Ted!  Everyone knows that Democrats cant commit fraud!  Rove and company are the only ones capable of doing it!

yea, but at least last time, they waited for the votes to be counted!  Now, why have an election?  The outcome is predetermined.

the republicans hire lawyers too.

they got ready in advance in 2004 as well. as did the democrats. both sides hire lawyers in advance. sometimes they come from the national party fund, sometimes that money is funnelled to the state organizations to spend on lawyers.

your point is moot. just because someone chose to write about 1 side doing it, it doesn't mean both don't actually do it in reality.

Why dont you read what I wrote (carefully) and the link, and then retract your non-sequitar comment.

Did I say that Repubs did not hire lawyers?  Noooooooooo.

Did Ms. Leer say that if the repubs won, it was fixed?

Yessssssss....

Did I say then that if that was their pre-claim, there was no reason for the election? Yesssssss.

Note, did you just read anything about lawyers after the second line of my response?

Hint:  Noooooooooo

Hint #2:  This is not about hiring lawyers.

They're hopping up & down here in Ohio about counting absentee votes before election day - Ohio law doesn't allow it.
The courts upheld voters having to show an ID (although many forms of ID can be used).
Dang! How are they going to get the "correct" outcome if the rules have to be followed?

I think going to the courts was a mistake for the Dems. It made them look like poor losers (yes - I know - they are), that wanted to force their way on everyone (yep - I know - it's their way or you're an evil, money-grubbing, bigot, that's too stupid to know what's good for you).

It was a mistake for all americans.  It set a nasty and ugly precedent that can only lead to the eventuality of the courts deciding elections, not the voters.

I read a story today that ties in to your article in a way. The Dems fear that the Black voter turnout will be substantially down this election due to feeling that their votes don't really count or that the elections are fixed.

Apparently a result of the constant din by the Dems in the last few election cycles about Repubs 'stealing' elections. I guess the Dems have inadvertently convinced their own base that it's useless to go vote since their votes won't count anyway.

Talk about irony.

if it turns out to be true, it will be delicious irony!
