yes, the longest run of a division champ ever, 14 straight seasons (although the Mets did make it to the series in 2k), is a bit premature.  If they win all their remaining games, and the Mets (the best team in Baseball right now) lose all of theirs, the Braves will win by a game.

But that is highly unlikely.  And I love it!  Our home team is the Triple A farm team for them, and I hate them too!  The only good year the Braves had was 69 (they lost to the Mets in 3 straight on the way to the Mets becoming a Miracle).

So yea!  I am a Mets fan, and I dont hate the Yankees!  But I do hate the Braves!  I hope they enjoy many years as a door mat!  They are the Buffalo Bills of Baseball!  After all those championships, how many World Series titles do they have?

Dum, de, dum, de, dum de dum, dum, de, dum, de dum, dum dum

ONE!  At least Buffalo had the deceny to quit trying after 4 straight embarrasments!  The Dumb de Dumb Braves never could learn!

be gone you nasty Braves!  You are a blight on the NL.  May you never darken the doors of a championship again!  Until the Cubs win it!

For the Mets?  Just win Baby Win!

(Ok, Udigit, time for you to humble the puffed shirts. heheehehe)

I enjoy them having a losing season. I, too, hate the Atlanta Braves, especially after they called themselves "America's Team".

---They are the Buffalo Bills of Baseball! ---

I wouldn't go as far as calling them the Buffalo Bills. The Braves at least won a championship. The Bills never won their division 14 straight times. I think the Cleveland Indians of the 90s were more like the Bills.

---At least Buffalo had the deceny to quit trying after 4 straight embarrasments!---

They didn't quit. You have to be a damn good team to make 4 straight Super Bowls. The team got old and other players left for more money. It wasn't like they said to themselves, "Hey, we lost 4 straight championship games let's tank the next season", and they didn't embarrass themselves 4 times. In their first Super Bowl they lost to the New York Giants 20-19 when Scott Norwood missed a last second field goal. Who knows how that team would be remembered if he made the kick. They might have won multiple titles.

---be gone you nasty Braves!  You are a blight on the NL.---

If your Mets had won 14 straight division titles, and during that time been to 5 World Series with them winning once you would be calling them one of the best teams ever. You know you would, too .. don't lie!!!

---For the Mets?  Just win Baby Win!---

Oh, Hell no. Did he just make a Raiders reference?

Time for some fun, Doc. heheehee

Is your beloved Raiders so bad that you need to use their infamous "Just Win Baby" on other teams? Say it isn't so?

Al Davis, please let someone run the team who ISN'T living in the past.

It's pretty bad when the best offensive lineman on the team is Art Shell, their nearly 60 year old head coach.

What about them signing quarterback Jeff George? Isn't he older than Art Shell? What happened George Blanda wasn't available?

You would have to bring that up! Ptwhhhtttt! (but you are probably right).

But you forget that during that 14 year reign, the mets made it to a series too.  Without winning the division.  No, if I was looking at 13 years of failure like the Braves, I would not be Crowing about it.  The Mets are 2-2 when they get there.  A sight better than 1-4.

BTW:  This one just came across the Ticker.  It feels so good after Monday night

To me , it's not failure. At least they make the playoffs. Tell me how many titles did the Mets win during those 13 years?

I didn't forget, Doc. I nremember very well the Yankees crushing them.

---The Mets are 2-2 when they get there.  A sight better than 1-4.---

Yes, they are 2-2 in their history. The Braves are 1-4 with a core of players, a huge difference. If you think those players suck then what does it say about the Mets players during the same time frame.

If you should hate any team, it should be the Florida Marlins. They won it all both times they made the playoffs. They already won it as many times as the Mets, and they only been around since 1993. The Mets have been here 40 plus years. The Marlins didn't win their division both times, either.

They also have had 4 no-hitters in their short history while Mets still haven't had any. Yep, Doc it would be better if you hated the Marlins. Believe me, you better hope they don't make the playoffs, or you will definitely hate them when they pull a major upset and send your boys packing.
