I have not been alive for total of the latest incarnation of Israel.  At least 2 on JU have.  One a highly respected member, and the other also.  Perhaps more of you.  I do not know.

But I do know one thing.  Israel was born of conflict, and they have held their own against overwhelming odds.  Why?  Why can a nation of a few million hold out against those odds?

We have many opinions.  But quite frankly, it is their will to survive!  Something that America has not lost, but is close to losing.  I doubt Israel ever will until there is no Israeli left to adhere to that principal.

And you know what?  They have allies in the strangest of places!  The latest is Germany that did not sell them some WWII used Uboats. But just announced today, sold them some Nuclear capable subs.  The subs are new, and unarmed.  For now.  But it does show a willingness of both the Germans, and more importantly, the Israelis to make a statement.  For a deal, and a sub are not built in a day.  It takes months!  At the very least. But it was announced today after the mad mullahs of Iran decided to once again thumb their nose at the UN (that is a common practice, that most sane people do anyway, it does not take an insane mullah to show us they are just paper tigers).

So now, that is a message to Iran (and Syria).  And since the world community has decided that Israel is not a 'real' nation, they are not leaving anything to chance (I think this was done long before Barak took over).  And I cheer them!  Yes, Cheer them!

for the world breathed a sigh of relief (some of dissatisfaction) when the old USSR dissolved into nation states.  FINALLY!  The world is safe from MAD!  But as long as evil exists, MAD will always be there.  But now it is not the USA and the USSR.  It is Israel, and the mad Mullahs.

It can be avoided!  Very easily as the cold war showed us.  LEAVE US IN PEACE.  That is what Israel is showing us.

And while I am not Jewish, and I am almost a decade short of their nation, I fully support them in this.  I know many will brand me some names not fit for print.  And they are just simpletons.  But the fact remains.  Israel will have the subs before Iran or any other mad Mullah has the bomb.

And since the UN is so anti Israel, they don't give a whit to what Kofi or Koffee says.  And you know what?  neither do I.

I don't savor the third nuclear explosion over a populate area.  I deplore it.  The ones that do savor it, are alive and well, and living in the Middle East.  After all, they are training their babies to be suicide bombers.  They care nothing for human life.

The came is afoot!  But Sherlock Holmes is already on the case.  And his opponent is not as smart as Moriarity.  not by a long shot.
