Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

In what can only be described as record time, a Jury was enpaneled, and heard the case of the Harvey murders and brought in a conviction in less than 4 days!  This while ThatoneguyinSLC still struggles with the case he is the primary witness on: http://thatoneguyinslc.joeuser.com/articleComments.asp?AID=126893

These murders happened 6 weeks later, yet one defendant has been convicted (I am sure there will be numerous appeals, but the barbarity of the act is going to get him death).  Ricky Gray copped to the whole thing, and did not offer a defense.  The scuttlebutt is to save his accomplice (and nephew) Ray Dandridge the needle as well, but that seems unlikely at this point.

But due to the non-defense, he will not die (at least from the state's hands) for at least 20 years.  His accomplice may never die.  Yet between them, they savaged a lovely family, and the family of a groupie (and the groupie herself) as perhaps mamy more (they have been implicated in other murders outside the state).

The Harvey one was especially grotesque as the DA described the death of all of them, and many of the jurors could not stand the sight of the victims.  Nor, do i think I could since I knew Bryan (I did not know his family).

Justice sometimes is swift, relatively.  But ThatoneguyinSLC still waits for justice for a man he never knew, but saw run over and decided that someone had to stand in for that poor victim.  Strange how it works.  I guess the more brutal the crime, the faster the justice.  I fear there is a snag in TOG's case as he left a cryptic message as his last entry on the latest.

But at least here, this is one person that will not see daylight again.  One way or another.  Frankly, from the facts of the case, I dont want him to see another human being for the rest of his life.  His barbarity, and that of his nephew, while no where near unprecedented, is as abhorent as it comes.

I really wish they would give him life in solitary.  Those who read me know why.  But for an extra reason.  So he has a long long time to think about what he did, and no one to commiserate with him on why he did it.

This is not a man.  This is a rabid animal.  That he once was a man is the only reason he was not shot on sight.

I remember reading about this case on TOG's blog. I've not been following him lately and didn't realized it had gotten this far. That was a pretty brutal and senseless slaying of that family. A death sentence is too good for him, life in prison without parole is better so that he can be reminded of what he did. So they're not going to convict the other one at all?

Sorry Forever, this is not his.  I reference his as it seems another snafu has happened.  This one is in Va.  And it occured after TOGs and has been adjudicated faster.  Which is a crime in itself.

This one is about the Harvey's.  A man, woman and 2 daughters.  brutalized and killed because they left their front door open!  And the perps have shown no remorse. Especially not the animal convicted today.

Richmond, Va.  On New Year's day (actually very early morning right after midnight).

He offered no defense, signed a confession and has stated he wants death.  Those are reasons enough for me to give him Life without parole.

He got death for his brutalizing of the 2 children. http://ontrial.mytimesdispatch.com/

I guess given the DA summation, it was inevitable.  Either the Jury would, or the inmates would have.  A shame he is not going to have to "live with it".
