Debate, and discuss, just dont Bore me.

Does anyone else think that maybe we are over reacting some?  Ok, the cretins were/are in England.  And they did have a nasty plot and England has reacted.

As have we.  But no liquids on planes?  I dont know about you, but last time I flew, we went through the meat grinder and then got into the Emplaning area.  And guess what was for sale?

Sodas and Water!

So you are a $10/hr clerk.  How much to let me put some of my "special" water on sale in your store for a "special customer"?

yea, I know, so far the idiots have not thought of that.  But I figure it is only a matter of time. The fact that Bush (Warding sign for all the moon beams out there) has managed to "cut the head off the chicken" means we get some doofusses that think simple as they are simple.

But how long before we get a real smart evil mind to realize it is just a matter of the Benjamins and sloth.  Sure they $10/hr clown will get got.  But if they were that smart to be thinking that far ahead, do you think they would be earning just $!0/hr?

THAT is what worries me! Not idiots like the dummitz duo (times 12) in England.  The sneaky jackasses over here that we have not heard about.

The affect this ban will have on Duty Free shopping is staggering, as the greater percentage of their sales is either alcohol or perfume, i.e. liquid in bottles.

Actually you're not allowed to carry any liquids on the plane itself. You can buy all the water you like just so long as you drink it all before you board the plane.

Good point!  Kind of hard to put it in check in luggage when you have already passed that point.

I know.  And right now they are doing a double check (Security and gate).  But will they continue to do that?  I think over time, they will stop doing the gate checkin (they were doing it right after 9-11, but then they stopped), and that is when al Qaeda might try this again.

No, I don't think it an over reaction at all. Until they have a reliable means to quickly detect the liquid explosives I don't see another option but to ban all liquids from the aircraft.

It is true that it would be impossible to cover all of the possible scenarios, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't take whatever steps they can to make it as difficult as they can for these psychos to bomb a plane.

I guess it all goes to the cliche, where there is a will, there is a way.

But have you noticed, that after each plot has been exposed (or in the case of 9-11, executed), they have not tried that method again?

Soon, you will not be allowed to enter a plane with a full bladder. When that happens I plan to purposely piss my pants at the customs security gate.

And I will buy a ticket!
