Yea, this is going to be one! Of independence from weeds and low lying tree limbs! My son is down and our Governor, Ted Matthews, has give us a 4 day weekend. So what started out innocently enough - sculpturing the deck and the back 40, has turned into trimming the trees to allow sunlight for the ne'er do wells! (well, I kind of like that little spruce tree). But with temps hovering in the 100s and humidity to soak a sun, it is not pretty!
But we are bound and determined to get r done! We did not lay the lack tarp (that stuff is not cheap, but worth it for what my wife wants), so that is tomorrow. Then the rock. Then the Mulch (that is free as our dump gives you as much as you want). So today was the deck and the limbs. Tomorrow will be the tarp and stone. And Tuesday will be the mulch. You got to love a county that only closes Christmas and New years day.
After that, we should be able to sod the back yard. It was doing well until we had that monsoon the last weekend. It washed the grass out (as I knew it would). I pointed out to my wife the mulch and water lines to prove that until we contain that, there aint no way for the grass to grow. I think today, not wanting to spend more time outside than we had to, she finally agreed with me!
110 without humidity is easy! 97 with high humidity sucks! I have been in both! Even my BIL does not want to dare the high humidity! And he gets 120s regularly in his summer! (his winter lows are in the 50s! Cry me a river Franks! LOL)
So I will be up at the crack of dawn. And working until the siesta time! They got that right! We should all do siestas! During the nasty part of the day.
I love Mexican traditions! at least this one!
have a great 4th everyone! I will be melting on the KB from time to time. But at least enjoying some honest sweat (hey! I am a Desk jockey! So sue me! - oh wait, that is an Apple tune......)
